Nothing but recycled computers and over-priced office computers. 16GB SSDs for $90, GTX 660 ti for $500 etc etc. $2000 "listed" custom computer with outdated parts selling for $1000; I asked the employee last year what model GPU it had and was told it was an NVidia GT 510 which is only good for basic office work and photo editing. The reality is you could buy a laptop brand new with as much power for $600, or build one (not with their parts) for about $400 with a cost effective APU. The only part that is not unreasonably marked up are the off-brand PSUs in stock. A) Customers who are building their own computer probably also have the internet, and has the ability to study parts and the market. Having a store nearby with parts is handy so you dont have to wait for an order, but its not worth shopping here where some parts are selling over 150-200% of their current availability elsewhere. I also found that some of the employees are especially incompetent and they can easily find help more skilled than an average retail employee. B) People who want help or want something fixed. Again, not that skilled, and from experience they will try to rip you off. -Female individual went in to get the power fixed on her laptop. They claimed it was the motherboard and wanted to charge a large sum of money. I had a friend with a solder gun take a jab on it and fixed it; the power chable had frayed and interrupted the power supply. Charge? $20 For those of you with mechanical problems, just find a young techie or have an older teenager to have their most serious computer inclined friend to take a look. Now if youre an individual who has a computer slowing down or something, just get a free program, I recommend Glary Utilities, and run the 1-Click Maintenance. Once finished go into "Tools" and find "Registry Defrag" and fallow the prompts; do this at least once a week... Need an anti-virus? Get AVG or Avast for free... Or once again, ask someone to help you. Its simple. But really, say your personal computer is 5 years old and you cant stand how slow it is? Its time to get a decent new one, they for a long time for regular personal use due to technological and software changes. B) Want a PSU, or a bunch of cheap Pentium Machines running XP to fill an office; maybe take your business there. Sincerely- An enthusiast that would like to see a better local market.

Service was good for the price, I have tried going through people on craigslist but they dont stand behind work at all. The person that greeted me, Mario I think, was really fun to talk to and obviously knew what he was doing. They got a bit of info from me (phone number, address, etc.) and told me that they go by a queue based system and it would be 3 to 5 days depending on how long other jobs took. They offered me rush service but I wasnt in a huge hurry so I didnt get that. I got a call 3 days later, they told me I had one bad stick of ram and offered a used one or new one, I decided to go with new since the laptop is still pretty new. Cost me one hour of labor plus the ram, not too bad considering it has a warranty. Better prices on labor than best buy, for sure.

I had a horrible experience at Computer Works. I will never go back. I dont reccomend this store to anyone. If you want to buy a new computer go ANY where else. They have a horrible in store policy, NO REFUNDS on custom computers, by the way that is the only kind of computer they sell to my knowledge. So, you are at their mercy...when you have lost total faith in them and their product, you are FORCED into having to deal with them. I had to go into the store three times to get my NEW computer before they could get it to work. NO COMPENSATION. A week after I paid $900 I finally got a computer that worked. I am sure I over paid for a cheap piece of crap. A couple really obnoxious staff as well.

Slow service. I took my printer here to get repaired. They first told me it would take a week. So on day six I called and they said it had not been looked at that it would take another four days. So then four days later I went into the store to ask and they said it would take another three days. They tell you it’s because they get all these rush orders that come in, but they don’t offer this service to you when you bring your stuff in. Needless to say I didnt get my printer fixed here as I refuse to do business with people like this. Yet they seem to be a better alternative that the leading (Best Buy) who needs to ship your equipment out for three weeks unless it’s a minor issue.

I took two computers in for service. One ended up costing $35 to repair, the other $69. Best Buy quoted me $200+ on each. Office Depot couldnt find any issues, with either. One had some basic malware on it, that Computer Works cleaned up. Both are MUCH faster now. So much for Office Depots "Free" cleanup. They didnt do anything. What a waste of time. If you want it fixed right, just take it in to Computer Works. Only took a couple of days to go through their repair "circuit" and they both just worked properly afterwards. Thank you so much! Computer Works has friendly and prompt service. They are great at responding to e-mails in a timely manner. The workers are informative, knowledgeable, and helpful (I didnt feel like I was a dumb kid or woman). Had my repair rushed (same day service). I was quoted that it would take about 1 & 1/2 hours and guaranteed Id not pay for more time (even if the service took longer). I look forward to future business with them.

We have used Computer Works when both purchasing new computers and for repairs to our laser printers. We have not been disappointed in any of our transactions and continue to use them as needed.
