New review, different work done My furnace stopped working. We called Kelly and they gave us our choice of times, very accommodating. The tech arrived early and after 10-15 minutes determined what needed to be replaced. He had to run back to the shop to get the piece he needed, came back, and in another 10-15 minutes he had it replaced. Awesome service. What I am having a problem with is having to pay for the time it took him to drive to the shop and get the replacement part. If he had the part in his vehicle would he have only charged for about 30 minutes? I know he didnt spend any longer than that. On the invoice I was charged for 90 minutes. I dont think I should have been, unless theres a minimum time I need to pay to get the tech in my house. Below is the review from buying my new A/C for the house: I loved this interaction. Ill admit I only called two places for quotes when I need to have central A/C unit replaced. The first place I talked to a guy and told him what I needed. After listening he told me over the phone what he thought it would run. At no time did he say he wanted to see the house to make sure the unit he was quoting what the right one. He did make sure I knew his name though, so that if I decided to go with him he could get credit for the sale. When I called Kelly I got put right through to Josh. He chatted amiably with me and gave me two options over the phone, but he really wanted to make sure he got to our house so he could be certain his recommendations were accurate. He came over and looked at our setup and stuck with his original recommendation, but only after making sure he had told us about all available options as well and the 10-year labor warranty that Kelly offers that goes above and beyond the 10-year parts warranty offered by Bryant. When I was done talking with Josh I felt that I was a well informed purchaser and I felt really good about the decision we had made. Kelly was very flexible with the installation schedule I wanted to use. The installer, I think his name was Wes, was on time and went straight to work. He had the new unit installed and working in a couple of hours. The whole time he was there he was professional and answered any question I had. When he was done he made sure I had all the paperwork I needed and took the time to make sure I understood the new thermostat they had installed. After the work was done, the original sales man, Josh, called for a follow up visit. He wanted to make sure that we were satisfied with the work done and he brought a new furnace filter. While he was at the house the new thermostat died. He had a new one in his vehicle and had the faulty one replaced and programmed within 10 minutes. Its that kind of follow up that is going to keep me coming back to Kelly for all of my heating and electrical needs.

I called this company on 1/21/13 to make a complaint about a furnace they installed 8 yrs ago in a relatives home. I had recently found that the cool air intake PVC pipe was completely apart and off-set at the elbow where the pipe turns from the furnace to go head outside. I also found a 10 in wet spot on the floor. Above that spot I noted condensation water dripping from both sides of an elbow in the exhaust pipe where it turns from the furnace and heads outside. There were no signs that these pipes had been glued together when installed. Another concerning factor was that the furnace had been placed directly on the cement floor in the old, damp basement with no pad or lift under it. The caustic condensation liquid had dripped and run under the furnace and could cause damage to the furnace bottom. When I called on 1/21, the receptionist was very nice. I sent her pictures from my phone of the areas of concern. She said she would pass it on to the owner. On 1/25/13, I had not received any return contact from the owner, Tim Kelly. I called and left another message. When he returned my call and I explained my concerns he was very rude. He said that he had no way of knowing what we did to the pipes and this could have been avoided if the yrly service checks had been done on the furnace (they were not). I said that I didnt see any signs of glue on the pipes and felt that the PVC pipes shouldnt have come apart that easy if glued correctly. I also expressed concern that the furnace was placed directly on the old cement floor, increasing chance for rusting. Tim Kelly told me that they dont always put a pad under the furnace due to the duct work. I said, I thought the duct work would be adjusted to fit the needs. Tim told me that whom ever I was talking to was filling me "full of it". I responded that I felt that maybe he was doing the same to me. He then stated that the only thing he would do was send a guy out to glue the pipes back together. It would be AT THEIR CONVENIENCE, no date or time would be given ahead. I told him that I would then get it fixed myself and pass on to others what I thought of his poor service. He told me that I should go ahead and do that and that I should tell everyone that he offered to glue the pipes, but that I was "foaming at the mouth" and decided to do it myself. I told him that I would also pass on how rude he was. He responded with "go ahead" and hung up the phone. At no time was I rude to him and I feel that HIS service is appauling!

I got bids from several companies in the area, picked only those that rated an A on Angies List. The sales rep from Kellys was the youngest rep I saw and the most professional and prepared. He came with brochures on the product, explained why they used the product and then sent me 6 estimates for different configurations on the Mitsubishi ductless a/c product. He also went over where they could place the units and what the units could do for me. He was very concerned with meeting my needs and making me happy. Most the other reps I saw were in and out in 20 minutes or went on about how difficult a job it was going to be. They did not have the lowest bid price, however, they did have by far the best product and warranty. I spent a good amount of time researching these products online before making a decision. I did have to wait a few weeks for installation but I was fine with that as I knew I was getting the best product. The technician showed up when they told me he would. He was super friendly and very courteous and respectful of me and my home. He installed the products, and cleaned up after himself. He put down drop clothes all over my home to keep the floors clean. In addition he was very respectful of my pets who were ill at the time. He was here for 2 days and by the time he left I felt like we were buddies. Outside of being technically superior, he was funny and very personable. When he was finished with the installation and clean-up, he walked me through using the units and explained how to clean the filters. He also told me how to keep the outside unit running and told me what issues to watch for as well as recommending a service call in 2 to 3 yrs. Overall, I cannot say enough good about Kellys. I will definitely recommend them to my friends and family and give them good reviews wherever I can. I would strongly urge you to use this company if you want a great product and great customer service.
