If you are the kind of person who looks at the bad reviews and thinks "well thats just one bad experience" be warned! As someone who usually only leaves positive reviews in a world where people only voice their opinions when they are unhappy or upset, I couldnt help but voice my horrendous experience with Ken Vance... First off, within weeks of purchasing this vehicle I began having problems with it. The visor that blocks the sun literally fell off, I realize this was probably due to them gluing it in place to make the car more cosmetically pleasing. Trying to look past something so small and so simple, I then began to realize the biggest physical problem. Entering my vehicle a few times I have noticed my cup holder being filled with water, thinking I was just clumsy with whatever beverage I had last in my cup holder, I thought nothing of it. Fast forward 6 months later, and Im driving home in the pouring rain and notice that my cup holder (now full with water again) is being dripped into from my leaking windshield. There is no crack, just simply a faulty sealing in the top of it. The ceiling in my car is showing water spot and Im sure also needs to be replaced. THE WORST PART (of my experience with KV): Yesterday my cosigner went to their primary bank only to find out that Ken Vance ( without us having any knowledge) put the loan primarily in her name rather then in mine. Therefor not helping to improve my credit rating, initially bringing hers down for signing a new loan, and partially defeating the purpose of us buying a car from them in the first place. When someone tells us directly that the loan is in my name and that is why the interest rate is at 15%, only to find out a FULL year later that is not the case, it is in my Cosigners name who has almost perfect credit, that shows us my name was simply put on there to disguise their lying, dishonest ways in order to make the sale. We might as well have put the full loan in her name, had a 5% interest rate (Which we are doing) from the beginning and had the loan paid off in 2.5 years rather than 5(yrs). Listen, you can make whatever choice you want, if youve had good experiences with Ken Vance or any other car dealership, thats really great.... But just make sure you know exactly what you are getting and EXACTLY whos name the loan is under. We were taken advantage of and lied to in everyway you look at our situation. They will be hearing from us and will possibly be seeing legal action against their dealership.

Traded in our car for a vehicle that is 2 years old with 20K miles on it. The decision to trade in was a difficult one, and going through the process of figuring out what car to go with and dealership to get one from was taxing. I ran into several that were the classic schmoozers who talk themselves and their dealerships up and verbally knock their competition down (political campaigning vibes). After weeding them out I kept coming back to the people at Ken Vance. Eric and Shawn were super easy to work with and did not apply any pressure to the process, actually quite the opposite. My wife and I were happy to meet and speak with them about everything we were looking to figure out. They offered a very reasonable trade in offer on our car, which made us feel like we were not losing on that side of the deal. On the financing side, Dillon was excellent and was patient in going over everything without trying to push us into a warranty that in the end we really didnt feel like we needed. He provided a lot relevant information, but not to the point where we felt like he had his own interests in mind (he did a great job on that). We showed up about 30 minutes before closing on a Saturday, Dillons 22nd wedding anniversary, and he was there after close. Eric stayed as well to thank us for buying a vehicle from them, he took us to our car in the garage and opened the door sending us on our way. You run into Ken here and his son Jason as well. Both excellent, sincere people. My wife enjoyed the process here and we couldnt be happier. Buying a car is not a great investment, but coming away with what you want and having an excellent experience is rewarding and these guys were top notch and true professionals. We will go back there again!

I have a 2004 Audi S4. I asked them to do a diagnostic review for a clunking noise on the front passenger side. I spent nearly 2 hours waiting for my car to get done. After the wait, the service rep came to me and told me that their findings were inconclusive and they wanted to run some more tests. I agreed. After waiting for another hour, they came to me with a guessing answer. Which was also inconclusive. I replaced what they figured it was (sway bar links) and still no repair made. The score for the service is bad because not only did they not find the problem, but they suggested to replace things that did not need to be replaced just to cover themselves. I WILL NOT be taking my car back to Ken Vance. One of the jobs of a technician/mechanic is to be able to diagnose problems with the equipment. The technician that inspected my car, and the senior shop foreman, could not diagnose the problem. I went in, spent $160 and nothing was diagnosed correctly. I mean, I get it, I wasnt spending a boatload of money on this service procedure, but how can you expect people to spend a lot of money on a repair if you cant even diagnose something as simple as a "clunk". An Audi dealership SHOULD know something about the cars they sell, and if they cant diagnose something with the technology that came out over 10 years ago, how can you expect them to diagnose anything on newer/more advanced vehicles!?

Our experience With Ken Vance Motors has been excellent. And we have bought 5 Hyundais, one Honda and my father has bought a used pickup truck as well. I cant speak to the Honda service center as I have not used it, but the Hyundai service is top notch and easy to setup times. Chuck Mawby is absolutely excellent and I would recommend him to anyone. Also excellent is Chris Flaten as he has been our sales guy for years and is always professional, well versed in the vehicles he sells and is honest. He works to sell you the car YOU need, not necessarily the most expensive. As for the tire program, it is no longer offered but when it was they were honest and professional about it and I can attest to receiving multiple sets of replacement tires for both a Sonata as well as a Veloster. Hell, we may be the reason they dont offer it anymore as we drive a LOT of miles very quickly and we definitely took advantage of the tire program when it was offered. I HIGHLY recommend Ken Vance Motors and be sure to ask for Chris Flaten for sales and Chuck Mawby for Hyundai service.. Worth asking for them specifically...

I have purchased SEVEN vehicles from KV over the years, the majority of which have been NEW vehicles. I bought a Civic with 7 miles on it and babied it for 3 years. From the first oil change at Car City, the CV axle boot had issues: leaking grease, debris, etc. etc. It was always put off until the next oil change and was never repaired. Now conveniently just out of warranty, the boot it missing. My last visit to Car City resulted in the mechanic noticing grease was leaking and it was simply wiped off. Nothing was done. The following oil change the boot went missing. I actually met with Ken Vance himself and discussed my lack of satisfaction with the whole situation. I was assured several times I would receive a call the next day for a resolution to some shady maintenance that had been done in his shop. Its been more than a week and nothing. I was also rear-ended in a MVA recently and took the car in to their shop for repairs. It was never done correctly, but thats another horror story. Ill never go back again for such poor service and shady dealings.
