Two movers came to my house on a Saturday morning to move an upright entertainment center and a large TV. One of the movers had 3 weeks experience. The TV was first removed without incident. The entertainment center was a different story. The guys were not coordinated in how to move the piece, they did not have a strategy for removing the piece and they did not have all the tools, e.g., tape measure, moving blankets. Further, they required my assistance and direction for moving it down stairs and out the door. During the process they scratched, in two places my wood floors. Pictures were taken and I was told they would be sent to their boss who would contact me for assessment and possible repair. I was NEVER contacted. Instead I called the company and spoke with a rep who indicated no report had been filed and that she would do so on my behalf. She also indicated that since the company is franchised owned and operated the parent company had little oversight and administration. I heard from the Hudson franchise Owner, Jeremy, who solicited times and dates from me to coordinate a visit by him and a floor guy. I never heard back. I called the parent company and was told they would contact Jeremy to try and urge him to reach out to me. Jeremy did reach out and he said the same story as the first time...that hes trying to coordinate with the floor guy. It has been about 6 weeks now and Jeremy is out of contact. Im feeling as though my complaint is being ignored in the hope that it will go away. So, this is my review of the College Hunks Hudson WI franchise: inexperienced movers that caused damage to my floor and who are avoiding responsibility for repair.

From the very start I felt as though my experience was not personal. I called expecting to talk to someone in the area, but I found myself talking to a women who was obviously in a large call center. Having lived in the area for over 28 years I am always excited to support new local businesses. Sadly this was another national brand. They informed me during my over the phone estimate that I would be charged a $165 "Truck and travel fee" for a move from Hudson to Hudson. This felt rather ridiculous seeing as how a large U-haul is only $40 for the entire day. All and all my first impression was tarnished and I decided to go with a different company.

They were prompt, courteous, efficient, smart, and great at their jobs. They didnt complain or talk a lot. They were in and out in a very timely fashion. - I utilized them in middle January for removal of 2 old couches, one of which required them to take a door off the hinges and put it back on. They declined any offers for water. They were in and out in about an hour. I would absolutely use them again.

The guys showed up on time, were fast and very professional about moving our things. Were even able to take a broken piece of furniture for disposal at an additional fee which saved us a MAJOR headache of trying to figure out how to get rid of it. Will definitely use their service again!
