First off, I would suggest you question some of the "5 star reviews" for Tiger Tire & Auto. On Dec. 1st, 2010, they received FOUR "5 star reviews" ALL IN DAY - three on Google and one on Yahoo. Some of them sound very fabricated and infomercial-like. It is plausible that Tiger Tire & Auto created accounts and wrote reviews to improve their rating. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------___ Now to my review of their services - basically the staff (& owner) are indeed nice and polite BUT they will overcharge you as much as they deem possible!! After they quoted me $620 to replace a radiator (!!), I told them that I would fix it myself. Franklin Tire quoted me at $430 and Express Oil Service Center quoted me at $460. So, their quote was ~40% higher than the other two local competitors! I was able to replace the old radiator myself with a new radiator I purchased from Advanced Auto for $130.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------___ Because I didnt let them fix it, they charged me $75 to pressure test my cooling system to "find the leak" although it was obvious that coolant was pouring out of the radiator. The owner mentioned that they typically charge 1 labor hour (they charge $85/hr) to pressure test; pressure testing is very similar to pumping up a bicycle tire - it takes ~ 5-10 min. So from my experience, they DO NOT diagnose problems for free (like Cammie stated below) - I advise that you get a quote in writing before letting anyone diagnose your car issues.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------___ Now for their towing services, it took the tow truck driver 45 minutes to return my phone call. Overall, he arrived one hour after I originally called; with Auburn being a college town this probably isnt too unusual. He barely spoke to me at all, and would not accept my payment at the time - he stated they would "add it to my repair bill". I was never given a price at the time. They charged me $75 to tow my car 4 miles to their shop. According to other local competitor websites, this makes them the MOST EXPENSIVE towers in Auburn. They do not operate on a base rate & per mile system like most other towing companies. The staff could not explain to me how the $75 fee was calculated. After dodging my question about the price calculation, the owner finally said that "all in town towing is $75"; or otherwise, they decide on a customer-by-customer basis on how much to overcharge.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------___ In closing, Tiger Tire & Auto does have polite staff, but they WILL greatly overcharge you. Because their prices are so subjective, you are very likely to be ripped off unless you walk in with a mechanics jumpsuit and greasy hands. If you are very wealthy, prefer nice staff, and dont mind being taken advantage of, you may very well like these guys. Otherwise, I would highly advise you to consider Franklins Tire & Auto or Express Oils Service Center before resorting to this company.

My car was broken down on road, I do not want to bother my friend at midnight time, so I just left it on road. Policeman fined me, and Tiger Tire was told to tow my car. The next morning, I went to their shop, the manager told me my car is in his another shop. I did not want to spend too much time on car, so I asked him if they can repair my car. They said yes, they will check for me and call me on Monday. They told me I just need to pay for $100 for the tower fee. They called me on Monday, said I need to pay around $570 plus $100 tower fee if I want to fix my car. I asked them what part fee is and what the lab fee is. They told me around $260 for lab fee and around $260 for parts fee. I surfed the Advance auto website to check the price of the parts, and I add the prices up, it is about $180 plus tax, there is discount if you order on line, if I use the discount it is about $128 plus tax. And I call another shop to ask about the lab fee, the person told me he can fix my car for $130 lab fee. So I decide to move my car to the another shop. When I went the Tiger Tire office, I told them I decided not to fix my car here. The person told me I need to pay for $100 tower fee and $45 check fee. I was not told I need to pay for the checking, but I think it is reasonable. So I paid $145. After I finished paying the money, the manager come out and ask his man to recharge me $45 because they tow my car from one shop to another shop. I said sorry I can not pay you $45 extra. Because you told me it is free for that, that is why I check my car in your shop. The manager said nothing is free in the world. If I do not pay $45 more they will keep the car. I said I can not pay the fee. Then the manager ask me to leave his office, of course I was very angry with his. I said you can return my car to the original shop I can tow myself. Then he said something very hard to me, like go back to where you come from, China is hell. Then he called the policeman, the policeman told me pay $45 or they will keep the car. I really do not know why the policeman say like that. So I pay $45 extra, because I trust the policeman and then I get my car back. I call my friend who come with me to the shop the first time. She told me the manager exactly said he will not charge me money for towing my car from one of his shop to this shop. Then I remember the last sentence the manager said to us is about you just need to pay $100 for tower fee. The fee paid for this shop is still pending payment in my caredit card, I think I can cancel this payment, but I do not plan to do that. Because I do not want to spend time and energy in this thing. More importantly, I do not want be that kind of person. That is my experience.

I began visiting this shop once I moved close to Notasulga in May 2014. Working with them had been a great experience up until today. Everyone there is a pleasure to work with EXCEPT Chris. I came into the shop today to have my car looked at because it was skipping and I needed 4 gently used tires. The price for new standard factory recommended tires for a 2001 mercury was $144 PER tire. I decided I would do used. After waiting for 2 hours and seeing customers who came behind me come and go and having no one check on me while waiting, I proceed to the counter to see how much longer my wait would be. Chris saw me standing there and took two bites of his salad while sitting at the computer located at the front desk. I had to say excuse me for him to even address I was standing there. I ignored his lack of friendly service because others there had been so nice to me during previous visits. I proceeded to tell him I would wait to have the 3 coils replaced and that I will get the used tires from them. Chris takes me the back to show me their selection per my request. 3 of the tires looked really nice and one was very worn. I told him I didnt want the worn one and that I would take the three good ones. After asking me which tire I wanted to keep on my car and me choosing the best one, he tells me I had to get all four or not get any at all. I asked why if ask the tires are the same and the tires on my car are the correct size? He said the tires he was giving me were a different size. Why would you change the size thats not recommended by the factory?I declined all 4 and asked to pay. Im not sure what his problem was or why he felt as a customer my satisfaction didnt matter. I paid for the diagnostic fee, declined the other recommended services and took my car to have it redisgnosed and serviced at with a different auto service provider. I have over $600 in repairs to pay for my car and I gladly paid it to another auto service provider. I hated to take money away from Shane because he is great. My visit with Chris made me look at that business differently. Would I visit again? Yes. Will i work with Chris again? NEVER!
