UPDATE: Rather than address my concerns and handle his clients issues properly, the CEO of this company decided to cease communication with me and will not cover the damage his movers did. So, Ill update my post to cover our specific issues. (Had to cut a good bit due to Google limitations but Facebook has the full review.) On to the damage. We had a large, heavy computer desk. It was the type you put together yourself from Target. The movers called me on the truck near the end of the move and showed me that the top of the desk had ripped away from the bottom of the desk. The movers apologized profusely and explained the company would repair it if they could or pay to buy I new one. They said they would take it back to assess. We had our China packed in a plastic bin. One of the movers was carrying it down the ramp and tripped, dumping some of the China on the sidewalk. Unfortunately 5, or so, pieces were damaged beyond repair. The man who dropped was very remorseful and we could tell he felt bad. He again said the company would pay for replacements. I told him not to worry about it. It was likely only $50-$75 and as long as the desk was taken care of we wouldnt fool with it. The next day I call the office to ask about the desk. The person that could help me was out. When I did reach someone she said the person in the warehouse would take a look. By the end of the week after talking to her and the warehouse man, they determined the desk couldnt be fixed and asked about the original price. I sent them an email on 7/21 showing a similar desk insane and explaining some of our frustration with the move, and to let me know if they needed anything else from me. On 7/24 I got a reply from Chase, the CEO, saying they wouldnt cover the desk because it was particle board, which was in their fine print. He offered $50. That was fine, and had the movers, the woman I talked to the next day, or the warehouse manager told me this the previous week, that probably would have been the end of it. But, I felt like I got the run around for a week after being told how great and responsive this company was from the CEO. So, I replied immediately on 7/24 thanking him, and this time added that our China was damaged and if like to add it to the claim. I did not mention it earlier because I didnt want to cause trouble for the movers, but since Chase decided to get technical I thought I would too. I asked him and his assistant to let me know what they needed from me. After 24 hours and no response, I sent another email asking what I needed to do. A week passed while I recovered from surgery. I sent another email this morning, 7/31, again asking for an update. I also called and spoke to his assistance but she said Chase wasnt available. Finally, I made a couple of reviews on Facebook and Google hoping its get their attention. What do you know? This evening Chase sent me an email rescinding the compensation offer for the desk and stating that they will not cover the damage to the desk or the china since they did not pack it. Nevermind his man dropped the container, dumping the China onto the concrete! Maybe you hire these guys, get the A-team, and nothing is damaged. You will likely be satisfied. But what if luck isnt on your side and you dont get the top guys? What if something is damaged? These people will not work with you, if they even respond. The drastic change in tone from pre-move salesman Chase to post-move shady Chase should tell you all you need to know. I know I wont risk my property with them again! Are you willing to risk yours? Dont make the same mistake we did!

FANTASTIC moving experience with Brady and Hugh! Had excellent communication with the office, movers, and all involved throughout the entirety of our move, beginning to end. Anyone needing a professional moving company should look no further than Road Runner Moving. Due to the volume of the items of our household, the movers needed additional help to unload in time to meet our deadline (which was no fault of the company, who arrived on time and ready to go - it was related to our personal schedule and had come up unexpectedly) so they immediately contacted a local company here in NC for additional professional movers to come out for a couple of hours and Road Runner paid the additional cost at their own expense! Mission accomplished! Look around to see if you can find another company to meet that level of service. Will recommend Road Runner Moving in Birmingham (Thanks again Brady & Hugh!) to anyone. I believe all the negative comments here are nothing more than trolls who most likely didnt even do a move with Road Runner at all. They certainly are not describing the same company I dealt with. Thanks again!

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! This is the WORST experience my family and I have ever had. They didnt load the truck properly so there wasnt enough room for our things. The guys were on their phones all day so near the end they were rushing to get everything done and were so sloppy. They threw our flat screens in the truck without any protection, we had to tell them to please put a blanket over it so it wouldnt crack. They left so much stuff that they said they would get then said it would cost an arm and a leg to bring another truck to get everything else because they didnt pack properly. To top it off they asked my 75 yr old father if they could pull the truck through the front yard (to save time=money) of our new houses pristine yard when the driveway was maybe 5 extra steps. My dad did say yes because he tries to save where he can but PROFFESSIONALS WOULD NOT EVEN ASK. The tire tracks they left are horrendous looking. And were missing a leg to our sofa, screws to my sons bed, and thats just what Ive noticed so far. I dont know how this company stays is business let alone has positive reviews.

These guys are AWESOME! Jake and Drew were prompt, courteous, clean cut and respectful. They kept in motion, staying on the task at hand of loading our furniture (including the piano) in Birmingham and unloading it, placing it just where I directed in our home in Huntsville. They were very careful not to bump against door frames, and they were always in complete control of the pieces of furniture. I was totally impressed at how well they worked as a team and made every step count toward completing the move in record time! Job well done, fellas! I look forward to recommending you anytime our friends and family need movers.

I would recommend their services to anyone. I used their services to pack, move, and unload my house. 1st of all, The guys that came to move me really did handle my furniture as if it were their own. I did not have to deal with any of the hidden fees or charges that Ive run into with other companies in the past. These guys have the process simplified and it is very straight forward. After comparing their prices to other companies it was a no brainer. We all know moving day can be so stressfull and road runner really goes over the top to make sure you dont have to worry about anything!
