Just like the other two reviews here say... This place is pure garbage and so are the people who work at it. Ive had two packages that were lost in the mail. The first time I went back and forth with them for almost a month. They finally discovered that the extremely smart, logically minded delivery driver took it upon her/himself to forward my package to the previous residents of my address simply because we shared the same last name. It ended with the post office saying "Hey, we know we delivered it to the wrong address but the people wont give back the item/say they dont know anything about it so tough crap... nothing we can do". Never got my product, never got any money back (from the company I bought the item from or the post office). Now here I am again, just filed another lost package claim this morning so I can do this all over again because this place is filled with incompetent sub humans that have the mental capacity of a gnat. They have no (working) phone number so if you want to speak with someone about your issues then you best have a car, be off work, not be sick or injured and have plenty of time to drive up there and wait in line to speak to a rude African American person. Not trying to sound racist but every time I go in the place there is either a African American woman or man there, both of which seem like they hate life and every human being in it. There is always a line and plenty of waiting to be done as well since the two joyful people working there always take their time. Not to mention the drivers... its not hard to believe that they manage to screw stuff up constantly, every single day my mail is delivered the person driving is busy talking on her cell phone instead of, you know, paying attention to their job and providing accurate service. So yeah, overall this is pretty much the absolute worst place on earth. Please please please dont ever give them your time or money. You WILL regret it.

Disappointed with the mail service. I didnt get 2 out of 3 of my sons Christmas cards from Michigan. They had gift cards in them and had sent them 2 weeks ago. Its in the New Year already. They are not happy about me not getting their gifts. I had problems last year which was my first year here in Florence, Alabama. It also took 3 weeks for 2 of my sons to get their packages and I sent them before Thanksgiving. Something is fishy. Where are my sons mailed cards? I told them not to send anything by mail like a gift card any more to Florence, Alabama

Believe it or not the post office used to be a tourist atraction in Florence. When it was originally built the US government switched up the plans for the SC and AL Florences post offices. This resulted in an enormous post office for the size of the city. Strangely the area that customers can use in this Post office is the smallest of any post office I have ever been in. Service is slow and it is always tight and cramped.

Terrible service. Use UPS or something else. They have misplaced my packages 3 out of 4 times and blamed me for it. They refuse to improve or do anything to help. Honestly if not affiliated with the government they would have died out long ago. I would rather drive across the country pick up anything I ordered online and drive back home. It would take less time and be much less of a hassle.

Moved from Florence and left a forwarding address, a package ended up getting returned to sender and then shipped back to Florence. I called and the gentleman I spoke with was incredibly friendly and helpful and even overnighted my package to me! Great experience, and never had any issues in the 5 years I lived there.

Dang i read one review about them "NEVER PICKING UP THEIR PHONES".....that person was as right as my prom dress being delivered to my racist neighbors by accident and now they refuse to give it back... I NEED HELP

Not sure whats going on with this Post Office but dont EVER expect them to answer the phone if you need to call. They absolutely will NOT answer no matter how many time you call.

Terrible. I called 7 times to the post of on Tuesday 30 Sept and got no answer Google site said it was closed .trying to track package . no success at this post ofc.

Awesome most of the time, Christmas is crazy. And so is April 15th. Building is classic with a grand entrance and plenty of stairs so it can take an effort to get into.
