Sales people beyond the counter are semi-literate with a hostile attitude. I went in to get a refund, and the woman behind the counter refused to give me my refund because she said she did not have dollar bills; she said this after I lost my place in line to fill out my paper work. I asked her for a pen; she refused me. I then saw she had a pen at the counter. I asked to speak to the manager or supervisor. She said that since this was "store" there were not supervisors on site. The service is poor, the attitude is even worse. I am unsure why Hyde Parkers tolerate this incompetence. Everyone who has a bad experience, and there are plenty of us. need to call management or the Chicago Tribune and get the post office to hire competent people. This woman had a horrible attitude. She is there t oprovide a service, but she just makes things very unpleasant.

The clerks behind the dead are the most negative, spiteful, unfriendly, rude and disrespectful crew I have ever experienced at any post office. Yesterday, 5/25/17, I had an occasion to use the Post office in Hyde Park, the clerk Straila had her music playing while being obviously disrespectful to two foreign students. Her attitude from a distance was unfriendly and degrading to those students. For a while, that post office had two other clerks that were very friendly, helpful and congenial. What happened, why were the two negative individuals bright back? Bad place.

This place is like walking to a prison cell. The ladies that work here are always having a bad day. I never see any of them smile. Are they under paid and overworked? It seems as though they hate all customers and each other. The tension is awful if you ask them a question they act as if you should know the answer already. I hate going in here the reason I do is because its the nearest walking distance to my home. I only write reviews on repeat encounters. Management Please help get this in order.

The management there is horrific. I lived there for two years. When I moved in, there was a diffferent manager of the building. She was helpful, knowledgeable and courteous. She was promoted and the next manager came in...Kesha!! She was horrible!! Unhelpful, and down right Trifling. She kept things inoperatable and was all out horrible at her job. Many residents left under the new property manager and the tenants had lived there for years.

Do not believe, SYMPATHIZE or agree - If you want to mail books and they ask you to put them into two separate boxes (in which case they avoid more trouble carrying one heavier box), saying that the rate would be the same since USPS media service is based on weight. They finally weighed the boxes and charge separately (instead of the total weight), which turned out into a higher price, AND asked you to carry the boxes to the shelf BY YOURSELF.

Not only was the woman at the counter rude, but the pre-labeled package I dropped off has not even been scanned/shipped (it has been over a day and I dropped it off in the morning). So, my package is lying around the office somewhere, not in the shipment process as it should be.

The service here couldnt be worse. I dont know how they havent fired the woman at the front desk yet. I was here recently and there was one woman in line ahead of me. I waited there for a half an hour just to buy some stamps.

This USPS store is foreigners nightmare. These women behind counter never tell people what you should do, so they could get their happiness from treating you like fool and watching you spending much more money.

Called them about my package and was put on hold for about 30 minutes. Oh yeah, they put me on hold to check if they had it and picked up again to ask me what I was calling about 3 times! Unacceptable.

Stuff here are very unfriendly and unhelpful. It looks like they are unwilling to work here, and they are very slow. And they wont actually look into any issues if you have trouble with your shipment.
