My Dell computer recently had some issues; it may shut down by itself after 1 to 2 hours and then restart. Brought it to this place and paid $59.55 up front for "Diagnosis". One day later, Drew called and told me he has never seen such heavily infected PC before, and also claimed that my computer cannot even be started. His recommendation: reformat the hard drive after backing up whatever on the hard drive, and the price, $200. Dont think I believe what he said but my computer is at his mercy. Next day, he called again and claimed the video card is also broken, replacing with a new one: $99. What can I say? Do I have a choice? Before sending it to Data Doctors, my computer can definitely be turned on, and may shut down and restart by itself after a couple of hours. Now Drew said the video card is broken, it has to be broken now because he says so. Sure, go ahead. Here is the final outcome; after $360+worth repair, the newly formatted computer still does the same thing, shut down and restart by itself after a couple of hours. Conclusion: never trust and use Data Doctors again..

I brought in a laptop to replace a failed drive last April. DD installed a new drive and reloaded the OS. When I picked up the laptop, the battery was dead and would not take a charge. I had to purchase(else where) a new battery to restore the laptop to the condition I gave it to them. As expected, I had to reload apps and redo my customizations to get back to the environment prior to the disk failure. To my dismay, I could not get my Epson all-in-1 to scan, all other function worked properly. I spent a few weeks removing and reinstalling the Epson driver. After talking to DD today, they cant/wont look at their install without another $99 service fee. I would expect an OS load examination without a fee at a minimum. I will be taking my laptop somewhere else to resolve their load issue.

I havent been to this store, but when I need DD in person, this is where I will go. The Data Doctors Radio Show is so helpful and entertaining for me. I dont listen to it live; I download the podcasts and listen when traveling. Ken, Brandon, Robert, and Louis (even though I dont own a Mac) are delightful and so incredibly helpful. I like the AZ flair to the show…like hearing about “its the time of year to have your convertible tops down.” But my favorite was the naming of Kens rescue dog. (I have quite a few rescues too!) I subscribe to their Facebook page and get their newsletter too. They are always busy and so very helpful!

Paid $59 to for diagnostic. Quoted almost $400 to remedy. Told me my Windows system was not a good one and recommended an upgrade. Said that my virus protection on my computer was inadequate, and that he had never even heard of it (was a top rated virus protection suite at that time, tested by Consumer Reports. His recommended suite was one of the lowest rated). When you have to spend money for diagnosis, you feel compelled to use the same shop to recoup that fee. I chose to get a second opinion and got my computer fixed and added much more GB of storage to boot, and a backup for $160.

I have worked with several computer repair companies over the years and most of them are reasonable and fair. However, after a recent experience with Data Doctors in Chandler, I found them to operate in bad faith. They appear to take advantage of their customers as they do not provide the services they promise. This is unfortunate because a previous experience with them was satisfactory. However, it only takes a single poor experience like this one to make it necessary to alert any other potential customers to be wary of Data Doctors in Chandler.

Great service. My powersupply went out on my PC. It was a PC I built myself. I replaced that and it still did not work. Took it in and they looked it over to determine that everything was fried (motherboard, hard-drive, video card). Used their data recovery service to get everything back from my hard-drive which they succeeded in doing (not always a given). They are a great business and I will use them again whenever I cannot figure out my problems.

Committed fraud. Charged me $200 for a data transfer and when I go to check the drive I supplied them, nothing was on it. I will be reporting them to corporate and coming tomorrow to retrieve my money. This is fundamentally unacceptable. DO NOT GO HERE. You would be better served setting your money and computer on fire.

Data Doctors of Chandler has saved me many times over the years. They saved a fried mother board and retrieved info when a major virus took over my PC. I use their monthly service to regularly clean my computer and check any virus attack. They are like having an in-house IT dept. I RECOMMEND.

I guess I should have checked the reviews before taking my computer in. I I paid the $60 up front for diagnoses and they couldnt tell me if it had a bad motherboard or processor. Overpriced, will not return and do not recommend them.

Wouldnt give me an estimate to install an SSD in my laptop and reinstall Windows. Tried to have me come in for their $60 check up fee. Only then would they tell me the price. Ill take my business elsewhere.

A little pricey. Worth it if you have the cash to trade for the convenience. Next time I need to retrieve data I will have a friend do it for free.
