This place is the worst! Please I beg you, if you are reading these reviews and are thinking about trying them out, save your money. As another reviewer has mentioned, I also bought a Groupon for the microdermabrasion facials. Every time I called to make appointments, I always got a voice mail system. Once I finally got them to call me back for an appointment, the facials were great. The owner was (at that time) allowing us Grouponers to re-up our Groupon offer with her and she would just give us gift cards for the facials instead of going through Groupon again. Before I accepted the offer, I told her of my concerns of the fact that they do not have a receptionist and of the horrible wait times for call backs. She then told me that they were hiring a receptionist soon and that the problem was being taken care of as we speak. So I accepted the offer and bought two more facials. 3 months later when I called to make another appointment to use the gift cards I bought, I once again had to leave a voice message. 2 Weeks pass and I still havent been called back so I call again and still no answer; I left another message. 1 month later (after the first time I called) I leave yet another message telling them how unhappy I was about not ever getting a call back and told them if I didn’t get a call back by the end of the day I was going to stop by the shop and demand my money back. The owner called me back that evening and told me some sob story about how there was a gas leak and that is why no one was answering, blah blah blah. She took down my information and said that as soon as she got to the shop that night she would call me back and schedule me an appointment. I never got a phone call. Curiosity got the best of me the next day, so I called the gas company that services the area the shop is located in, and ask if there had been any gas leaks reported recently. They told me that they haven’t had a gas leak in that area for years. I thanked them for their time and I called the shop back up. Surprise, surprise, I got the voice mail again. After work, I drove over to the shop and asked to speak with the owner. She proceeded to yell at me in front of her customers about how I violated her privacy when I called the gas company, and that it was none of my business. I told her I wanted my money back for the gift cards and she refused. I am now out, $60. I have called Groupon to complain about her and her company and they took a report. They told me that if enough people complain about her, she will be dropped from their site. PLEASE, I AM BEGGING YOU, THINK BEFORE YOU BUY HER GROUPONS. If you also have had issues with her, please tell Groupon. Thank you for your time.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME even calling this place!!! I bought a groupon for a microdermabrasion facial and am demanding a refund. Every time I tried to call to book an appointment, I got a voice mail which should have been a major red flag. A legitimate spa usually has a dedicated person to answer the phone and help with booking appointments. (Not the case here) I finally was able to book an appointment online but had to cancel a few days prior because my sitter cancelled. When I called to reschedule, luckily someone answered but she rudely advised me that the spa was fully booked until after my groupon expired in 2 weeks. I have a very hard time believing that this spa is that busy and was fully booked 2 weeks out, especially given the "glowing" reviews below. Today I got a Groupon email and what a surprise to see that The Bodyshop Massage and Day Spa was the first business being promoted under Groupon Now - for those of you not familiar with Groupon, these are deals that are available to use right away. Clearly, the spa was not as fully booked as I was mis-advised or they wouldnt need to be further promoting on Groupon Now. I have contacted Groupon for a refund and have advised that they cease their relationship with this business for their overall sketchiness and lack of professionalism. Please, please, please take this review and those below seriously. If the service is this poor from an operations standpoint, I suspect that any spa service you would get would be sub par and possibly a health threat.

This place was awful. When I walked in I was checked in and shown to a "relaxation room" which was tiny and had a few old chairs and some dirty dishes, including a dirty wine glass. I waited there for over half an hour after my treatment was supposed to start. Why, I have no clue. I was the ONLY client in there. The employees were chatting loudly and laughing. I could hear everything. It was very unprofessional. The treatment room was so tiny I felt bad for the esthetician having to move around. Halfway through the treatment she left to get something and was gone for over 5 minutes. Shouldnt everything she needs be in the room already? When she was moving around in the room she kept bumping into the table and banging the cabinet doors. It was very distracting and I did not feel relaxed at all. The decor was poorly done and the paint job was messy. I would definitely not return.

I had a really nice experience here. It smells really good when you first walk in and the atmosphere is very calming & new agey. Its not a fancy resort spa but it doesnt claim to be, so dont go there expecting that. The lady at the desk also did my massage and it was great! I had pulled a muscle in my lower back and it felt like it was going to get worse all day but after the massage, that subsided. The hot stones & steamed towels are a real treat. The facial I had was also very nice and relaxing. I didnt notice a difference right away, but a few days later I am noticing how soft & smooth my face still is. Both ladies were really nice and I left feeling very relaxed and pampered. I would definitely go back--good experience and even without a Groupon, the services are affordable.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! It is amazing all the services they offer here from massages, body wraps, facials, mystic tanning, hypno therapy and much more. The shop is really cute and clean, they always have water with fruit in it and candy out. I have tried many of their services but my favorite is the pumpkin body wrap, it smells amazing! The owner is super nice and she is always throwing out deals on groupon or if you are on the mailing list you get AMAZING DEALS! The mystic tan deal is the best I have ever heard of! The owner herself sprays all over your body and it only costs 49 for unlimited for a month! The tan looks amazing and lasts for over a week!

I Love the Body Shop!! I have been going there for six months for facials because I struggle with acne. Having acne as an adult is mortifying however all of the employees at this spa make me feel comfortable when I walk out without makeup on after my treatments. The estethician has been so supportive and understanding about the skin issues I am dealing with. I have seen major improvements since I started getting regular facials there and could not be happier! The Body Shop has a fantastic membership program and their prices are great. If you are looking for a relaxing facial with excellent skin treatment, I would highly recommend The Body Shop!
