Not Happy AT ALL... I had went to this place due to the convience and being as they treat ethnic hair in there i thought i would give it a try. The first time i went to this salon the treatment i recieved as i walked in the door was horrible. I asked for a flat iron and cut to my hair and the "stylist" Gladys proceeded to take care of me while she did great a great job to my hair, i didnt appreciate the comments she would make as to what i could and couldnt afford. I believe she offered me a relaxer for my hair @ 125.00 alone i told her that was too pricey for me and i would only be able to afford my services i had requested. She tells me the price and says " Can you afford that?". I was extremly offended , she then proceeds to tell me that she wont cut my hair. The next time i go to the salon i get a hair dye and she screws it up turning it an orangy red color that i HAD NOT REQUESTED. she is horrible and i will be talking to someone ASAP about the problem. IM NOT HAPPY.

Ive been coming here for about 6 months now and every time I have, it has been a great experience. I get my hair done by Ms. Dana the salon owner and she always have me looking glamorous. I get the Sew in and it always look natural never bulky. she really takes the time to explain long term after care and gives product recommendations so you get the most for your buck. Ive had plenty of people try and do my hair without success so if your looking for someone to do your hair this is the best place to go. She also has other great stylist working as well. If she was ever for any reason not available I would have any of the girls do my hair. Every customer seems to Shine walking out of this Salon.

I have been going to Shades of Excellence since it has been open and I have always been pleased with the service provided for me. When I walk in I have always been pleasantly greeted by Ms. Gladys and Ms. Jaime. The owner Dana is my actual hair stylist who does incredible weaves for a super low price. I am from California and the cost for a weave there is double the price if not triple the price for the same quality service. I love that I can get my hair done and not have to worry about a bunch of men coming in and out to get barber cuts. The shop is clean and relaxing and I would definitely recommend this place.

Ms Dana is my hairstylist and she is amazing. I have been coming to her shop since it first opened. Michelle did my hair last November and she did a great job. The shops atmosphere is awesome.
