If you want the highest quality of work, go to True Essence Salon. I called to schedule a consult for hair extensions and I was able to be seen that same day. I was immediatley impressed with the salons atmosphere. It is exceptionally clean and soothing. They also offer the full Aveda line which told me right away when I walked in that they met high standards because Aveda is very discriminating as to who can carry their products. I was seen right away and Maytee was fabulous. She was knowledgable and friendly and I knew at once I could trust her to do a great job. I expresssed how anxious I was to schedule an appointment and she offered to come in extra early the next day so we could get started. My appointment was on a Saturday so I expected it to be very busy. Most salons I have ever been in on a Saturday are chaotic, noisy, and you spend most of the time waiting on your stylist to get done with the other client she is trying to do at the same time as you. True Essence was the exact opposite. Maytee worked for 4 hours doing my color, extensions, styling, and instructions on how to take the best care of my new hair. She was dedicated to me every minute. We talked and got to know each other and the time flew by. Once she was done I was amazed. The extensions looked and felt as if it was my own hair. I was scared because I paid the woman who had done my hair for the last 2 years to put extensions in for me and they were horrible. I had to have them taken out after 4 days. Maytees work was astonishing! I had no idea the extensions would be so beautiful. The color she suggested during our consult was gorgeous and really added alot to the overall outcome. I will never go to any other salon because none could compare to True Essence!

I am very disappointed with this salon we came in with a bridal party of four plus the groom came in a little later. As soon as I walked in the stylist was very rude I did not wash my hair because the mother in law of the bride had set our appointments for wash and style. I told her I needed my hair washed and if I knew it was going to be a big deal I would have washed my hair before I came. She argued with me and then washed my hair very fast said she didnt have time for anything but to blow it out. Then I get into the chair and i asked her if she could curl my hair with the extensions she said she could not. They are clip ins it would have taken five minutes. While all of this is going on the stylist that was doing my sisters hair the bride was laughing like it was funny. So I said this isnt going to work if you arent going to do what I want. Im not going to pay someone to blow out my hair I can do that myself. I am the maid of honor I needed to look nice. So she said ok i walked out with soaking wet hair and had to drive around to 5 other salons to find someone that would take the time to do my hair the way I needed it done. I just got married myself && have had never had a problem like this we had a party of 7 with extensions and hair washes that just came up in a last minute deal.I understand not having the time on an ordinary day but not a wedding day. The customer service part of it was just very rude the bride was very upset I was almost stuck doing my own hair. Please be aware we didnt even get a Im sorry from the stylist. A wedding day isnt a good time to be a rude person.

I made an appointment at the True Essence Salon for a “base break”. The appointment resulted in golden/orange roots that the stylist spent a long time trying to correct with a toner. The stylist told me that I can call and come back if I still feel like my roots are too orange. During check out it turned out I was given a color touch up service which is different then a base break. When I left the salon and saw my hair in daylight and later in my bathroom light I was very unhappy with how it looked. My roots looked orange in contrast with the rest of my neutral highlighted blonde hair. It looked cheap. I even received negative comments at my work. I called the salon and spoke with the manager. After explaining what happened she booked an appointment for me with an experienced stylist and told me that the corrective procedure may require more time then a base break normally would and that this will be free of charge. When I came in the stylist told me that this will not be free of charge. I asked to speak with the manager. This time the owner came out, not the salon manager I spoke with. I explained yet again what happened. Even though she seemed to understand what happened she told me that since the correction is more time consuming then just a “base break” I would have to pay to get my hair fixed. I tried several times to reason with her but she told me to leave her salon. You shouldn’t charge someone to fix what you screwed up in the first place!

Quite possibly the worst salon experience of my life. I got out with a girl just out of beauty school, and wasnt informed of her lack of experience. 12 inches was unevenly cut off my hair. My hair is uneven and choppy. That wasnt the worst part, I asked for my hair to get some more depth from the all over light blond I normally have, I left looking like a striped skunk with red and purple streaks in my hair( I told her specifically I hated red and didnt want any red what so ever). The girl said she could fix it and I left the second time worse than before with black streaks. I finally got in to see a better stylist who got my hair to looking nice enough to go out in public but was told I would need to come back to get my hair cut fixed and to get my hair back to blond as my hair was now brown. I went back to the salon and made and appointment with the owner hoping that that would be my last trip to fix me hair. The owner told me she was going to charge me to fix my hair and get it back to where It was before they messed with it. Umm no you fix you mistakes, you dont charge for them. I would never return here again, simply the worst experience of my life.

Been here 2x. First time was a great experience with the owner of the salon. Absolutely no problems whatsoever. This past week I went for my 2nd visit and saw someone pretty new, who I essentially paid $150 to ruin my hair. My hair is not colored properly (orange toward the roots and ashy at the ends) and the cut is VERY choppy. The owner did offer to fix it, but with my schedule, I had to drive to phoenix or find a sitter for my kids. Im not going to pay another 25$ to have my kids watched, and I really have no time to go that far any time soon. Wish the girl knew what she was doing so this would not have happened in the first place. I am wearing my hair up till the 8th of October and getting it fixed with a pro. Huge disappointment and waste of money.
