If youre looking for an amazing cut and color, schedule an appointment with Lisa Frehner! A little background, I went to hair school 10 years ago and convinced myself that I could get great results doing my own hair.... and for 7 years I suffered with mediocre hair that I was never really happy with. Id either put it in a ponytail or a bun every day to try to hide the bad dye jobs and haircuts. I also have a mother-in-law and sister-in-law that did my hair occasionally but my hair was always fried afterward because they didnt have additional experience or training doing ombre and balayage techniques. Even though they gave me a family discount, it wasnt worth it. After meeting Lisa and having a few friends refer her, I decided to take a leap of faith. By the time I went to her, the top half of my hair was almost black and the bottom half was fried from bad ombre attempts. My hair was down to my butt and I was ready to chop it off. Thankfully Lisa saved it and gave it a whole new life. A good cut and color and I feel like a totally new woman. I used to never wear my hair down and now I wear it down 4-5 days a week. I get so many compliments on it from friends and strangers. Ive since moved to Vegas but Im still coming up with excuses to go to Utah every 6 weeks so I can get my hair done by Lisa. Pros: - Lisa is very experienced with a variety of hair types and I love that she knows exactly what type of cut and products will work best with my wavy/frizzy hair - Lisa is great at very classic, natural colors as well as fun and trendy hair colors - The salon is very clean and everyone is super friendly, especially the owner, Mike. - Lisas rates are great for the quality of work she does. The only other cut Ive loved this much cost twice as much at a high-end salon in SLC, and Lisa does a better job! Cons: - Get on her calendar early and always, ALWAYS schedule your next appointment before you leave the salon. She saves a few spots for last minute appointments but if its a weekend I have to make sure to schedule early. - The products she sells are awesome but I cant get them at Walmart, so if I run out between appointments I have to wait until I get back to Utah... but thats only a con if you live out of state.

This was my first time at Relik - met with Jennifer Parsons. I scheduled at the Orem location, which is difficult to spot; its hip rustic wood sign is more understated than many of the surrounding signs, so keep your eyes peeled. I have been in a hair rut for years. I kept my hair long out of habit, but always pulled it up, and was starting to feel a bit frumpy. Jen was AMAZING! She really listened to what I was looking for, reflected back her understanding of what I wanted, and then made suggestions based on my natural hair color and type. She spelled out what we were going to do, and double checked that that sounded good to me. Since I havent had short hair since the fourth grade - and Im past 40- I really appreciated her thoughtful approach. The end result was fantastic! I cant stop looking in the mirror. My hair is very fine, and she helped me choose a haircut that is so flattering. My husband hasnt stopped grinning at me with a twinkle in his eye since I got home. He keeps telling me how sexy I am. Thank you Jen! Ill be back!

I LOVE this salon. First of all, its super cute inside. But aside from that, the environment is very pleasant. Im a people-watcher and Mike (who runs the salon) will stop at each of his employees booths and check up on everyone, both his employee and their clients, asking if they need a water or anything. Ive been here twice and my hair stylist was Mckayla Anderson both times. She is amazing. First of all, you can tell how passionate she is about her job and that she really wants to make her clients happy. Second of all, her shampooing skills are impressive! She gave me a very nice head massage both times I came in and she definitely knows what shes doing. Everybody should come here!

I am pretty picky with my hair, so have been searching for a while for a good fit. Tried a bunch of places nearby, but my favorite was too far away to justify the trip. So when I noticed their new location in Orem close by, I booked an appointment on a whim. I just happened to get Rachel Clark, and I think I lucked out because there are so many ways that a color and cut can go wrong, and I had no complaints whatsoever. That rarely happens. One thing I always look for is a good listener, and Rachel was that and more. Second time I have been here, and both times received compliments on my hair, so I am pretty happy.

My one star review is not because of my experience with anyone in particular or experience while in the salon. My daughter needed a hair cut before Spring Break was over. I called once Thursday evening and left a message hoping someone would get back with me to schedule and appointment. I called again Friday afternoon and left another message. It is now Saturday and still have not gotten a follow up call. First impression is everything and clearly shows customer service sucks. I called Image Maker and someone actually answered the phone and I got an appointment next day.

I have had my hair cut and colored at Relik salon, many times. They have a very upbeat atmosphere there, and have a nice facility. My hair dresser is Rachel Clark and I love her style, her gentleness, and how she puts me at ease. She is friendly, and so very thoughtful. When I told her that I have inflammation in my hair follicles, she went to the effort of researching and purchasing a more gentle product for my hair. She spends time thinking about styles that will work for the challenges that I have with hair loss. My experience with Relik is only positive.

Lindsey is amazing. She loves her clients and so fun to talk and catch up with her. She is so talented and makes my hair look amazing. I am always willing to do something new because I know Lindsey will make it happen and it will look great! I love her knowledge and input about hair. If I have any questions I always ask and she has the best solutions. Love her so much!!! She makes sure your hair is what you want. If not she is willing to fix it. She is the best. Great salon--I have been here many times! Stephanie Sandoval is awesome with color and cuts, and I love the head massage :) I always get compliments about my hair. I work days, so I also love that I can get an evening appointment. The salon is clean and has a trendy atmosphere. The owner is very friendly, hes been there several times when Ive been there and he goes out of his way to make sure Im being taken care! I would recommend Stephanie and this salon for women, men and kids!
