My husband and I have been with Schorie Auto Repair before they were even Schorie. Shopping around for a good place to take your vehicle is always daunting, since you have that concern about the possibility of the mechanic cheating you. But here, we didnt have that issue. My husband and I feel comfortable with them. They always explain what it is that is wrong with the car and why it should be repaired. What is really nice is, they dont push a fix if it isnt absolutely necessary (which was a recent event with our spark plugs). They keep our car happy and healthy and my husband and I getting to and from our destinations. There have even been instances of emergencies that they have been able to get us in, even when they are overloaded (during the major rainstorms we had). I definitely recommend them.

WOW! From the moment that you walk into the shop and meet with Rich you know that your vehicle is in the best hands it could be. I brought my 2008 Audi A4 in as the service light went on... need oil for sure, but that was not all that they found. The great thing about Schorie was a call I received from Rich telling me the other items that they found. With 0, ZERO pressure Rich let me know about some alignment issues that may start to wear the tires over time a bit faster. He also made it clear that ot would cost a BUNDLE to do the job but that not doing it would not be a big deal. Just might cost a bit more in tires. They really took the time to do it right. My cars will only be going to Jim and Amber Schorie from here on out. Thank you for a great experience! -Alec Thompson

I have used Schorie (formerly Good Works Auto Repair) for about five years and love their service. Schorie has never pressured us into services they didnt think we need, unlike many other repair shops. One time I had a problem with my car overheating and took it in and they couldnt replicate the problem. They kept the car for a couple days running a bunch of tests and still couldnt replicate it. It was fine after that (they explained maybe the tests reset the computer) but did not charge anything besides the initial diagnostic. I trust everything they recommend and they will make sure to show you if parts need repair, not just tell you. Great experiences and have kept coming back for everything we need! I would refer anyone to them.

Been taking our vehicles here for several years now and have been consistently pleased with their service. Honest, straight-forward service at a reasonable price. Dealing with many other car repair shops [insert any dealership here] too often involves a carousel of “advisers” who are mostly skilled in separating you from your hard earned money, none to tactfully I might add. Definitely not the case here. Jim is excellent at explaining car stuff in understandable terms and laying out my options for future maintenance. My 12+ year old vehicles are running great and I have confidence in Jim’s advice as they age. When I find a reliable service like this, especially automotive, I hold on with both hands. Thanks Jim!

When we moved to Arizona we knew we needed to find an honest and trustworthy place to take our cars. When we discovered Schories (at that time good works auto) we were thrilled that the search stopped there. They were very honest from the beginning telling us not to waste our money fixing certain things on our car. I had never had a shop tell me that before. They would also give us a breakdown of our options instead of telling us what we needed to fix. We appreciated that. We knew right away that they were good trustworthy people with an honest family business. We would take our cars nowhere else! We have and will continue to recommend Schories to all our friends and family.

I was recently referred to Good Works Auto Repair when I noticed my car was over heating when sitting idle for any amount of time. When I called to see if they could check out my car as soon as possible, without hesitation, they asked how quickly I could get it in. They took my car in and got back to me quickly as to what the problem was and the cost of the repair. I was pleasantly surprised that the cost of the repair was very reasonable. The customer service was great I will definitely go back if I ever have any more car problems. I will also recommend Good Works to all my friends and family. The Schorie Auto team wins me over each time I visit for many reasons - the most appreciated aspect is how Im informed of needs WITH options. I feel Im not pressured or influenced to make repairs. Instead they inform me of all needs, including preventative maintenance, and take time to discuss how to maintain my vehicles as safe and dependable in the most affordable way. They respect my informed choices of what maintenance or repairs I wish to take place and when. They are also respectful and positive, maintaining a professional and personal demeanor. Ive referred family and friends. I take my and my wifes autos only to Schorie.

I got a coupon in the mail for an oil change and it was cheaper than any competitor around. They did a great job and I was pleased with the service and the first-time price. However, I received a quote for an alignment repair which was more expensive than other places ($175 instead of $50) and included something that other shops told me was unnecessary. Im obviously not a mechanic or professional so I have no idea which is true, but I would definitely recommend shopping around before deciding to go with Schorie for your other mechanic needs (a good practice anyway).

Goodworks Auto Repair on Baseline Road is the best auto repair shop! They are honest, caring, trustworthy and dedicated to making certain your car is maintained in the best possible but cost effective way. My daughter was visiting at Christmas and had a problem with her car. They not only repaired the problem at a fair price but gave her an itemized list of repairs she will need to make down the line and the cost to do them. They were not trying to sell repairs she did not need, but were just making her aware so she can plan ahead! I highly recommend Goodworks! Sandi S

Been to this auto repair shop twice: once for a basic oil change/maintenance and next was a wheel alignment and rotation. All in all, the staff was courteous and respectful. A plus is the shuttle service which helps with getting my errands done while my car is in the shop. Overall the environment and staff makes me want to come back for all my maintenance and repairs. Price wise it does seem to be average to below average in the Mesa area according to the RepairPal app on my iPhone. But as always ask for a quote and shop around is your best bet. Hope this helps!

Excellent service they have never disappointed us. Finding a mechanic that you can trust is always hard, so when a family member recommended them to us we gave them a try. We bring our vehicle in for it oil changes and check up and they are always happy to explain what they found and their advice on current or future issues we my experience. They have never steered us wrong and never given us the impression that they are creating issues just to pad a work order. Would recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy friend place to bring your vehicle.
