Have gone to this gym for quite a few years. I signed up for a personal trainer and at that time was not given any additional information about the contract. I thought I was signing up for five sessions which I think at the time they told me that was the basic amount. I was not told that I would have to cancel the contract after I reached the amount that I wanted. I am an older person and at times I have numerous aches and pains. After I was assigned to a trainer I let him know that I had some issues with my knee and back on occasion but I dont think that was an issue for the trainer and he worked me extremely hard and felt the need to make me feel ashamed because I couldnt do the things that a younger person could do. I quit going to sessions because of that fact and had pretty much decided that I would not use my last couple of sessions. I just happen to notice on my bank statement that they were still taking funds out for a personal trainer. At that time I think I had over 20 sessions. Far cry from five and that was after I had used at least four. I thought I was done! When I confronted Teresa at the front desk she said yes that I should have cancelled long ago that and if I wanted to use them I would have to do so quickly as they would expire soon. I did have one instructor that was wonderful after I realized that I had to use the sessions or lose them. When I came back from vacation I found out she was no longer there. also it was at that time that Teresa informed me that they didnt have any trainers. They were all busy and didnt have any open spaces. So I was told essentially that I would lose my nine sessions unless I wanted to go somewhere else to use them. Nice!!!! So accommodating !!! and so friendly!!!! Before this scenario with Teresa at the front desk I had felt that I was a "fodder" or just a topic of conversation for the front desk people and trainers. Not really hearing a definitive conversation it was obvious that when I walked in the door or asked about anything that as soon as I left it turned into a "high school" type group session. I noticed an "air of disregard" when I came through the door. Not only with Teresa but with a male employee that was at the desk. What I dont understand is that the trainers and the front desk personal are well over high school age and should be acting as such. After I got back from vacation I asked Teresa about my remaining sessions. She again stated that I had 9 sessions left but that I needed to use them within four days because they were due to expire. I dont understand that! I have already paid fifty dollars for each session. I would think that If I dont use them at a particular time that they should never cancel. The gym has their money and as long as I was a member in good standing (monthly dues are paid) that I should get my sessions or get a refund. I use to love this place but as of now I have not one good thing to say about it. I have joined two different gyms and feel comfortable with the training and the surroundings. I am actually paying the same monthly dues that I paid at Fitness One and will be able to go anywhere in the United States .

Okay so I just started this gym on 4/16 and so far its great. I would like to take advantage of the personal training but i have to be honest it is quiet expensive for each session but the first session is free. So I decided I will just do my own thing for right now. The staff are very friendly and they will answer any question you have. They do have a kids center her so it is nice to have that convenience there. But I personally feel that paying for it monthly isnt very fare to the customers. We do give them the business so they should reward there customers with free child care.Other than that the gym is clean and it is a judgement free zone there. So if you want to get in a work out, then this is the place to go. My advice take a guest pass and see how you like it first.

If it was possible to give zero stars, I would. For over 2 years, the homeowners directly behind the property have been putting up with excessive noise at all hours of day and night when the patrons of this establishment are using sledgehammers to bang on industrial tires. The sound vibrates so loudly it is amazing no windows have not shattered. We have tried unsuccessfully to work with the management of the gym and well as the property management company to resolve this issue. They say they wont be outside after 8 p.m. but 5 out of the last 10 nights Ive had to call "Walter" and complain. Sincere apologies, but same thing just keeps happening. Its unfortunate but looks like well have to involve police and zoning agencies to get any satisfaction.

I go to mountainside fitness, I walked in here out of curiosity to check it out since its right next to my neighborhood and immediately walked out. Very basic, dull and kinda smelly. I suggest paying a little more cause at mountainside (desert ridge) I love the staff, the atmosphere and all the people. Just saying.

Great new gym to just get in and get your workout done. The staff are nice, the equipment is awesome. And the other members are cool...not like those over-crowded meat-markets around town. If you want a solid value, and a fun place to get healthy...Fitness 1 is the place for you!

Went in today and got a free trial, and I love this gym. Everything you need, including a power station to do power cleans and hang cleans. Way better than la fitness who wouldnt let me get a free trial because I had an out of state license. Great rates too!

Enjoyed the gym for what it was. Just be careful when you cancel your membership. I canceled my membership so I would not get charged again. The following week I see I am getting billed for next month membership.

Great place to work out! BUT, beware of the membership for personal training. It is not mine personally. It is for someone I know and it is NOT A GOOD DEAL AT ALL!!!! My advice, pre-pay for your sessions!!!

Love this gym. Great value if you pay in full long-term. Everything I need. Id like to see another squat rack put in but its usually sufficient. Would recommend to anyone in the north valley.

Small gym, the manager there gets to know everyone and says hello. It feels like a family there. If you are looking for good personal training, you need to go see Chris! He is awesome!

The gym itself wasnt bad- except when you go to cancel your membership, theyll keep charging you. It was under new management shortly after, imagine that?
