If I could put a zero, I would. I signed up 3 years ago with ME in Clackamas, OR, as I was having issues with my neck/shoulders/back. The first therapist, a guy, would not stop putting extreme pressure on me when I kept telling him it HURT! I actually ended up at the doctors because he had caused major issues. I called ME and was told, "sorry, feel free to try another therapist!" Since I truly needed a GOOD massage, a few weeks later when I was healed up from the guy, I went and saw Ashley. She was WONDERFUL and made me feel a lot better, so as I checked out, I was pressured into "saving" money by signing up for a membership! Being I was having chronic pain, I decided to do that, since the savings was quite large at that time. I found a second AWESOME therapist named Kelsie, who was phenomenal! Still love Ashley, but her schedule is very hard for me to get in. Let me add here, that I am an hour away from them, (the closest), so it is not an east feat for me to get there. So, for the next couple years, things went fairly well, other than them losing a wonderful front desk worker named Terry, who I am thinking saw the shifty practices the ME has, so left. So far since, I have not had a good front desk person, and the clincher for me was when I tried to cancel my account earlier this year because I had had major surgery and was unable to use my massages, and had accumulated 6 of them, I was told if I did that, I could not use my massages after 30 days and would lose them, so I was told to put a freeze on my account. I was also told I needed a doctors note????? WHY?HOWEVER! During the "freeze", even tho I had 6 PAID FOR massages, I COULD NOT use them! SO, I froze my account after a very long time of arguing with the so called "manager", just so that I wouldnt keep being charged! I started it back up a few months ago, and have only been able to get in to see my therapist ONE TIME because "her schedule is full!" ????? Extremely hard to get appointments and I KNOW that my gal has time as she told me! One time I made an appointment, drove an hour to get to it, just to be told it was on a different DAY???? No, I know it wasnt, because I had written it down in my appointment book as she told me and she saw me do it! Now that I have massages accumulated, its nigh impossible to get in! Well, the straw that broke the camels back now, is that I traveled to Redmond, OR for some away time after the death of my Mother in law suddenly; called the ME in Bend on 7-29-16 to make an appointment and use one of my massages that were building up again since I cant seem to ever get in! We are only in the area until 8-5 or 6, 2016, so the gal who answered made my appointment for 8-2 at 1 PM with a Corrina. We drive 23 miles to get there, I walk in and tell them who I am and am there for my appointment. The woman at the desk types in some things, looks at me, and says "Im sorry, its for next week the NINTH!!!!" WHAT THE ^@%$#*!#@????? I told her that was IMPOSSIBLE since we wont even BE in the area the ninth! She was flippant and was like, Oh, Im sorry. We can get you in for tomorrow. WHAT????? I just drove 23 miles ONE WAY to get a massage I set for THAT DAY, and you want me to come back??? Well, I walked clear over to where my husband was, told him what happened, we are TOTALLY disgusted with ME; so he says, well, I know you need a massage so see what they can to tomorrow. I called, "Oh, we can get you in TOMORROW NIGHT at 6 or 6:30." REALLY? Dinner time, heavy traffic and we have other plans! SO? I called the so called Corporate number? LONG message says best to e mail for a quicker response???? Of course, no return call... I wonder who paid the 2 reviewers who gave a high score? Syslie Clapp, not sure where you get your info from? But I was specifically told I HAD to use any unused massages WITHIN 30 DAYS if I cancelled my membership. Well, there is no way I can use 6 massages in that amount of time, and they know it.

worst experience in my life . I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. I was living in California and was moving out of state in may . I kept telling every person at message envy that I was moving . I kept asking when is my membership up? they would tell me in may I would say great im moving to another state. I found out three months later they kept charging me after my membership expired . I called to find out what was going on they said I had to give them a written notice to cancel my membership something that would of been great to know every time I brought up the when does my membership end question. Like a you know your member ship ends but you need to fill out this form for it to be legit kinda thing would of been a great heads up but no they didnt verbalize it at any of the times I brought up me moving or when does membership end question. so they email me a cancellation notice to fill out and sign . which I did and I email it back to them. I didnt even fight them for the 200 hundred dollars they had charged , I just thought oh well I just want to terminate my relation with message envy. they said they called me but I received no call or message. then I get a bill that I owe them more money. im just are you freaking serious I thought I ended this . so I call and ask to speak the office manager shes not available shes gone . but according to there notes she had received a blank notice of cancellation I said great why didnt you call me ? or email me immediately notifying that they needed me to resend. then I get a call from the manager whom finally left a message. I call her back to find out what her email was but did a call back no I didnt! so I had to go threw my emails and guess which email to send my cancellation notice to! I resend the notice of cancellation. I never got a call back saying ok I received or hey we cancelling your account. so I decided to call them back .according to the manger they dont email they only do phone calls. I was like wow really you dont try to get ahold of me by one means. what if my cell phone was no longer active? a company if they want to create great customer service attempt by any means necessary to get a hold of the customer and make sure their complaints have been addressed and handled appropriately. I had sent my cancellation notice in September. but they didnt cancel my account until 0ctober 14 2015!!!! they steal your money people! they dont care what you want or need they drag and drain every cent you got .I called their corporate office and went straight to voicemail. WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER DELT WITH OR EXPERIENCED IN MY LIFE .

I am so frustrated with the service or lack of service that I just received at this Massage Envy. Please keep in mind that I have been a faithful member for at least the last 18 months at another Massage Envy. I was not able to get in to my regular massage therapist.... So for my convenience I choose to go to a Massage Envy location that is closer to my home. I called to make the appointment, with witnesses by the way, earlier today. I expained when I called that I was in an accident about 10 days ago and just needed a massage. (Yes, I saw a Dr. for Workmans Comp only) his advise... "You deserve a massage".. "Sorry you were in an accident". I told Massage Ency receptionist this... Fast forward to the appointment... arrived as requested 30 minutes early as requested for paperwork. Completed said paperwork, paid 10.00 extra for aroma therapy... I had 4 hours of credits on my account so used 1.5 credits for my intended massage. Met Krystal the massage therapist. After the initial pleasantries I began to explain those areas that were bothering me... I was perfectly honest because thats how I am... When I told her I had been in an accident she put her clip board down and said "I cannot see you"... "I will not take that liability"...you should see if you could call your Dr. to get a release... My response... "It is 8:30 on a Saturday night"... I am quite sure my doctor albeit Concentra is going to be available for a release... When it became evident that my much anticipated massage was not going to happen I returned to the reception area to get my money back (for the aroma therapy) and have my 1.5 hours of sessions returned to my account. To my shock I was told that that could not or would not be done since I was a member of another Massage Envy... I asked to speak with the manager but was advised the manager was not available. I was given the Name of Amanda Nielsen who is the "Manager" but would not be available until Monday... As I continued to request at least my 10.00 back another manager "Brittany" was called and again advised the front office staff that there would be no refund. IF I had requested an Aroma Therapy and received it without paying I would have been arrested for theft or shop lifting... But Massage Envy can take my money and not provide anything in return and that is called business practice.... "Because I am a member of another location". So for no massage I am out almost $100.00.... Explain to me how this is anything but bad customer service all the way around. MIchael Smith
