I would have given 5 stars as I have been a customer for over 8 years, referred more people than I can count who also would go on a regular basis as I did, and I would buy gift certificates for various work giveaways or gifts that my company paid for. Guess you could say I really recommended them and loved the therapists I saw still talk to a few of them. My problem now is that I want to schedule a 90 Min deep tissue massage give this company my hard earned money and for the last 3 weekends their online scheduler tells me there are no appointments available for that service?? WHAT!! I know exactly why this is happening - the therapists I saw on a regular basis are no longer there and from what I see there are ONLY 3 therapists one of which is the owner and that limits the amount of people that can schedule in a day. I have never seen that few of therapists on the schedule especially on the weekend and cant understand what they were thinking to take the manpower down so low!! I understand that during the week you have more appointment times that are not booked but, the weekend come on lets find a way to get customers in the door! I used to like that it was a small business in my neighborhood and supported them. There have been bumps in the road with some therapists that gave terrible massages, times that Russell was so unprofessional to people I referred and myself but, once online scheduling was created I no longer had to deal with him and the few times I did he seemed better. Pretty sad when the employees witnessed the way he spoke customers so, It wasnt just me but, the reason I continued to go and refer there was 100% the therapists and usually able to make an appointment. The way this is going I am going to find a spa that I can get an appointment in even if I have to pay more because I need a massage. Also, until they can accommodate customers I will no longer be a customer or refer anyone. I would hate to spend my money on gift certificates and the person is not able to use it since we all know we go on the weekends unless you have a different work schedule! Maybe its a sign that I find a new reliable place to go especially since all but 1 therapist I liked are gone. Fingers crossed it gets better!!

I purchased a 3 massage gift certificate for my husband and one for myself for Valentines Day at the spa itself on Ray Rd. The girls at the spa are very nice and professional and do an outstanding job, but thats where the good stops. We used one of our massages and had two left each, we scheduled another set for 3/13 . On 3/11 a Sunday at 8pm I received a phone call from Russel the owner of the day spa in regards to our appointments and he said that he had a note about our appointments and wanted to make sure it was us? Quite odd.. He then said that he would call back the next day and I asked him why? He said because it was Sunday and he doesnt do appointments on Sundays so he would call me tomorrow. He was rude and abrupt and sounded like he was drunk or something, clearly not professional especially considering he called me on a Sunday at 8pm to waste my time at a unusual hour. Monday 3/12 came and went and I never heard back from him. Tuesday morning I received a call from the massage therapist asking if we were running late to our appointments? I told her that I didnt think we still had an appointment because of Russel and his strange call on Sunday and no call back on Monday. She then told me that Russel was going to deduct a massage session from each of my and my husbands gift certificates even though he caused the confusion. I was upset and called Russel and told him who I was and started to tell him my issue and he rudely told me he didnt have time to discuss this with me and hung up on me. The healing arts day spa is the worst place for customer service. I spent $600 and got taken by Russel. Hopefully we can use our last treatment... And chalk 200 up to Russel the crook. My next stop will be the Better Business Bereau. I should also note... Neither my husband or I have yet yo receive a call back from this poor business.

BOUGHT A GROUPON AND GOT CHARGED DOUBLE AT THE SALON- My fiancé and I had Christmas money that we wanted to spend on massages. We decided to go on groupon and get a NOWDEAL. There is only one per day for the HEALING ARTS DAY SPA so I decided to call and see what they could let us have another at the same price. I called and Russell said he would honor the price for the second massage. We went to the salon and when we walked in and a blonde woman was standing at the front desk writing something down, DIDNT EVEN MAKE EYE CONTACT LET ALONE GREET US! A girl had to come up from the back and greet us and fill out paperwork. The massages were just ok, definitely only worth the groupon price. We checked out and without thinking just handed my card to the girl. She asked if we wanted to leave a tip on the card and I gave her an amount. The next day I realized she charged us for both massages and tip after we have already purchased the groupon! I called the next day to get a refund of the money but never heard back... called a few days later and was told I would be receiving a call back that day...never heard back. Called yesterday and FINALLY a refund was attempted but later found out it failed. I called back today and was purposely hung up on and messages not returned. I contacted groupon and was refunded my money that way and reported this business. I don’t care if your prices have been the same since 1998… Your customer service is horrible!!!!!!!!!

When my massage began, the owner was a little sporadic. She seemed all over the place as far as the conversation topics goes. At first she started asking me questions hen wouldnt let me finish answering them before jumping to another conversation topic. Then she brought up her abusive relationship with her father and how he treated her and her siblings when they were younger. She then continued to talk about how he is better now in his old age and how her husband and her take care of him. She then talked to me about her abusive first husband and how she waited two years to divorce him. Then she went back to asking me questions and wouldnt let me finish them. She then made a comment about how she prefers stronger people because they can handle her massages and she doesnt like having to lower her pressure and that she likes challenging her massages on people who can handle them. So it made me nervous to even ask her to ease up on the pressure so I just kept my mouth shut. I am one who prefers a quiet relaxing atmosphere when I get a massage, however, she just kept talking and talking. I felt like it was fast paced and that I cousont even enjoy it most the time. The only reason I gave them a two star instead of one is because the hot stones she used really did help loosen my muscles and brought me relaxation.
