DO NOT TAKE YOUR COMPUTER TO THIS COMPANY!!!!! Store Manager Randall threatened to delete all my data if I was not happy with their service. After leaving my pc with this company for four days, I was told that they had fixed my problem. I got to the store and asked how they fixed my pcs failure to boot problem. They could not find the technician who worked on my pc. All the technician had written down was "changed BIOS settings". I paid $65 for the diagnostic and troubleshooting and took my pc home. I booted it up and it loaded to BIOS flash screen then asked if I wanted to boot from disc. The store failed to restore my BIOS settings to boot from my hard drive. I changed setting and tried to boot computer again. I got nothing but a hanging black screen. Frustrated I called the store and they said I would need to take it back. So I took it right back. The next day I was told that they were going to reinstall my OS and and back up all my data. I was told this was going to take then weekend. I called on a Monday to ask the status of my pc. I was told that they were installing the OS and then would reload all of my data. I was told that it would be done either later that night or the next day, Tuesday. Tuesday arrives and I call the store once again. This time I am told that the technician who was working on my pc had called in sick and they did not know any information about my pc. I was frustrated and asked for them to please find out and call me back. An hour passed without a response. I called back and this time my technichion Randall was miraculously there. This time he claimed to be out on in-house calls all day. I was then told that my pc was taking longer than expected and would not be done until Wednesday. I told them that this was unacceptable. I stated that I did not feel they were being honest with me as everytime I had asked them to do something, they had not followed through. At this point the store manager started to raise his voice and made a comment about how he was not charging me extra for all the work he had done over the weekend. I told him that I did not expect to be charged anymore than my original $65 as they had told me my pc was fixed and it was not. At this point Randall told me that he could stop the data transfer right away if I wanted and I could get my pc sans the data. I asked him if he was threatening me. This company is untrustworthy and rude. I have never experienced such shoddy business practices and customer server. NEVER TAKE YOUR PC TO THIS COMPANY!

I brought my desktop in after it stopped displaying video, so that Computer Guru could diagnose whether it was a bad processor, motherboard, or RAM. I was given a quote of 5 or 6 days to diagnose it. After 15 days, I received my computer back. In the process of testing my equipment, the arctic silver was stripped from my cpu and replaced with about 5 times more cheap thermal paste than is needed. This excess thermal paste oozed down all over the back of my $300 video card, and I am anxious to see now if that caused a short, and a whole new problem. So now I get to wait a week longer than expected for the manufacturer to RMA a new motherboard, and I may be in need of replacing the video card now as well. My brand new case looks like someone took a sheet of sandpaper to it, and the computer was returned to me without the power cord I supplied and little things like the thumb screws to hold the side of the case down were missing. I went to this place after seeing so many 5-star reviews, and Im left wondering if they were all written by legitimate customers or by Computer Gurus staff. Maybe I just got unlucky with a very unprofessional tech, but from here on out I wont be wasting my money on these guys. EDIT: After waiting an additional four weeks of RMAing my motherboard back and forth with the manufacturer, it has been found that the board has been fine all along, and Gurus diagnosis was false. Time to send the CPU back to Intel, this would have been much easier and less time consuming if Guru did the job I paid them for and tested the CPU and RAM. Looks like its time to demand my money back, the only shame is I cant charge these people for the weeks of my time that they wasted. EDIT2: After speaking with Randall, the shop manager, he has agreed to refund my money because they could not fully diagnose the problem.

Tech told me it would take 5 days to receive the keyboard. I patiently waited 12 days and when I had no contact from Computer Guru, I called to find out "whats up"? Coincidentally they had just received the part one hour previously(so they say). When I questioned the tech about why his time estimate was so off, he became very surly with me. I left the laptop with him to replace the keyboard. His original time estimate was one hour to replace it but he would probably need it the whole day. I waited until the end of business the following day(1 1/2 days total--after no phone call from them again) to find out "whats up?" Tech said the laptop was in pieces on his workbench and that it would take him another 3-4 hours to finish job and they would be charging 2-2 1/2 hours of labor(@$75/hr) instead of the original estimate of 1 hour of labor. I told him I expected them to stick to their original estimate of 1 hour labor charge. He said that was only an estimate and that the estimate had now changed. We argued a bit and he became very unbusinesslike and rude being sarcastic and saying, "YOUre a classy guy, but I guess you hear that all the time" At this point I knew I couldnt work with the guy so I immediately asked to speak to the owner. It was resolved with no work being done on the computer, the part was returned to OEM and I got a full refund. In short this was a learning experience for me. Its been a long time since Ive been treated this badly by a hiree I was willing to spend my hard-earned money on. I give them no stars. A terrible experience for me. Never to step foot in this so-called store again!

The Problem: I leave my 4 year old 64bit Win7Pro Serv Pack 1 PC ON 24/7. By early FEB-2014 it began making whining noises which gradually increased day by day. Then one day, a black screen appeared with a message like boot from a bootable device. Well the system disk was the main bootable device. I shut the system down and carted my machine into Arizona Computer Guru with a work order to clone the system onto a new 500GB drive, replace and format the 2nd 500 GB drive, and replace both fans. As it turns out, the power supply fan was also whining and running slower than design so the "Guru" suggested replacing the power supply too. They have a "go to the head of the line" option if you are willing to pay double the labor charge. Well since I was leaving town on 21-FEB-14 for 2 weeks and planned to remote desktop into that machine so I could monitor my computerized home, I was more than willing to pay the uplift. My machine was back in place and humming along well before I had to leave Tucson. I would definitely use these folks again.
