Update: I still agree with everything I say below, however, now Im trying to transfer my internet from one house to the next. 14 business days...3 WEEKS until they can get someone at the new house. Also, as an update update, the repair/service workers NEVER came to my house when they charged me the $60 conversion fee..for no equipment. Please, any other company, come into town. Resort TV Cable remains the absolute worst company Ive ever had the displeasure of dealing with. So, just tried to receive only internet. I have no equipment at my house, just plugged the cable line into the t.v. This is the interaction. My bill increases from $45 to $55 for some unknown "bundle" reason and there is a $60 "conversion" fee. Without any equipment. Right. This company is the absolute worst, I cant tell everyone enough. If they werent a monopoly they would close so quickly. Also, I have no contract with Resort TV, they just want money. Cant even get away without them charging you $60-$75 for some outlandish "fee." Transaction with their rep below: Brian says: I dont see that you have any equipment associated with the cable television, so I could go ahead and put an internet only conversion work order in on your account. There are a couple of things to be aware of with doing that though. One is that your internet only rate, as opposed to the rate of 44.95 you pay currently with also having tv services, would be 54.95 per month. Brian says: Also, there is a conversion fee to cover the cost of sending a tech out to trap the video feed at the pole of $59.95. D. Brent Carroll says: A conversion fee without any equipment? Brian says: Even though you dont have equipment, a technician still has to come out to your address and place a video trap on the line running from the pole to your home to fully cut off the video feed you receive from us.

I am new to hot springs and was looking for good internet providers. I came across resort cable. I have never had problems with the product. But as far as customers service.. It could have been a lot better. I have only received one paper Bill from resort and no emails. I make every attempt to pay my bill my every month. This month would have made my 3rd bill including the activation. I paid my June Bill and late fee.. They never disconnected me in June though I was late. I had to pay my July Bill late and I was disconnected.. Ok.. Fine. 5 days later I get a voicemail AT WORK and was not able to return their call until the next day which I did call them after I got off work. The young lady was nice and respectful. Little did I know that after recieving the courtesy call letting me know of a full disconnect and needing a payment or promise to pay, that not even 24 hours later they came to my house and physically disconnected the cables. The young lady that I spoke with when I called let me know I needed to pay a small amount and that they didnt accept post dated payments. I told her ok I will call back the next day on the 7th, 2 days from the courtesy call, to make a payment . I call back on the 7th find out that my services was completely disconnected the day before, before I spoke to the young lady, and that my account had been completely closed!! This is only owing July Bill which is, yes, past due and august isnt due yet which i intended to pay all on the 7th. The soft disconnect hard disconnect and the account being shut down all happened within a week only being 1 month behind!! At&t doesnt even do that! Now I owe 113 dollars just to reconnect… that is crazy. And to think I was going to order cable the same day. So glad I didnt.

This company is truly the worst ever. Everyone on here has commented because it is what they truly had to face. It is the reality of this "service provider". Resort TV Cable, Internet, Phone, and whatever else "service" that it provides are all inferior and will cause you to have many, many problems. Apart from ALL the issues these commenters have faced, heres a few more: Resort sometimes, usually during late night, has something blocking the actual channel with their own technical terms filled on a black screen covering the channel, most often on Bravo and HBO, as I have noticed. It will sometimes go to a blue screen as well. These two examples are only some of the many issues you will face with this company. Now for the internet issues. What use is it if it constantly goes down? And for phone, what use is it if the connection is almost always weak and works only if the internet is not down?! You should rather just get some other VOIP service, when Resort charges such a high price for such low quality. At least AT&T has some standards. It definitely will solve your entertainment needs, as your life will be full of drama and problems if you use this companys service. I truly regret not reading the reviews online before being affiliated with Resort TV Cable, etc. If I had, I would have saved myself from all these months of disappointment and problems that I have been going through because of their inferior so-called "service". If you *do not* choose this company to be your provider, it will spare you from the horror.

It was very surprising to me when I came on to write a review and saw all of the one star reviews, because my experience was great! Everyone I spoke with over the phone and in the office was very helpful as well as pleasant. I was told after going up to the office that the cable was still on in the house we had moved in to, so I was given a box and sent on my way. After hooking everything up, for some reason the cable wasnt working, so I called up to the office and explained my situation. Jay (I believe that was his name) was very helpful and informed be that a tech would be at my house to assist me within the day. A few hours later, Gabe introduced himself. He was very professional and polite. It turned out that the cable running from the floor up to my TV was actually a satellite line. Gabe had to get in the crawl space under the house a few times and ended up having to replace the line. I felt awful that he had to go under the house and apologized multiple times, but Gabe kept his positive demeanor and it didnt seem to bother him at all. After a while, my cable was hooked up and Gabe was on his way. All in all my experience was a positive one, and I would recommend them.

i have used resort tv cable for a very long time. i have never had any complaints about their services, tho dont get behind, i have heard stories about additional charges added to bills. that were late.. but... if you dont pay your bills.. thats on you. i have had many difference service men come out, and every time they do their best to make any alterations necessary and help me anyway they can. i have never been overcharged, i always knew what i was getting, and at least 80% of the time their internet is what its advertised to be... the problem is theres just no one else to go with. if you want good internet.. you can only go cablelynx thru resort... without competition theyre resting on their laurels.... and thats never good. EITHER WAY, ive never had any problems with resort stemming from bad customer service or bad service period. however... right now resort is claiming i owe them 1000 dollars. i turned in my router, i did everything as asked, but on their end, they have consistantly claimed i didnt. add the fact i changed addresses, and they triple billed me, i have no ability to even pay them because theres no way theyd ever let a outstanding bill be 1000 bucks.
