We have a small one-story " mid-century-modern » house that sits on a concrete slab and is heated radiantly by hot water flowing in tubes buried in the concrete slab.. The 60+ year-old furnace that heated the flowing water had failed. We were recommended to Big Blue as the East-Bay experts on this kind of radiant heating. Their recommended and executed solution wasn’t cheap but we now have, instead of the old furnace and water heater tank that were stuffed into a tiny room in the middle of our house, a state-of-the-art Energy Star unit that heats our house and our hot water, and we feel that we’ve made new friends with the small crew of very competent and very friendly people from Big Blue who did the work.We recommend them enthusiastically

This is my 2nd time using Big Blue Plumbing (they installed radiant heat in the downstairs part of my home in 2015). This time, I needed to finish work on a small bath/kitchen in my in-law (stove venting, new drain hook-ups for shower, washer/dryer, sink). The team that worked with me (Pardo, Carlos, Harris, Pardo, & Israel ) were all top notch. The final work looked great and is working like expected (water going down drain and NOT on my floors). They were even careful and tidy with the rest of my home...used drop cloths on my floor from entrance to kitchen, wore shoe covers, and cleaned-up at end of ever day they worked in my home. GREAT GREAT SERVICE!! I will use them again.

When my furnace/heater went out March, 2017 I called Big Blue and they came to my home the same day. I received a detailed explanation of the problem, and their recommended solution. I chose the on-demand water heater and furnace system. Ive had the system 6-months and Im completely satisfied. I never run out of hot water! I love the new furnace/heater system too. My home is comfortable during the cooler season. And, just as promised, they didnt leave my home until I was completely satisfied with the service, system operations, etc. They cleaned up at the end of each day, so I was not inconvenienced or unhappy. I recommend Big Blue for your plumbing and heating service needs.

Paul and West were very nice and personable and answered all of our questions about our water heater replacement. We discovered our 15 year old water heater leaking at 1 in the morning. They came in on short notice and seamlessly installed the new water heater after a short and professional in-home consultation. Everything was set up by noon. Great experience working with Paul, the owner!
