I hired Dave to replace the drain and overflow plumbing, install a roman tub faucet, and install a fiberglass soaking-tub that was already roughed-in and only needed to be secured in place. Dave charged me $2750, which was mostly to cover labor for himself. The only items purchased to complete the work were a few pipes on the drain, new overflow/stopper, mortar, and a couple pieces of lumber. There was no breakout of fees charged, hourly rate, or parts cost. All of the work I paid Dave to do could have been done in a single day, but Dave took two days to do it. After a couple days of sitting full of water to keep it weighted down into the mortar footing Dave poured, the tub still moves freely as it did before. After calling and speaking with Dave, he was only willing to come out and put a bead of caulk around the tub, which most definitely would not secure it in place. Aside from the tub not being secured, the faucet that Dave installed is not properly centered.

Pretty disappointed with the tub "install" he completed for us. It was incredibly expensive for very little work. In my mind, an "install" means once complete, you can actually use the tub... The tub is moving all around and its not even caulked. He didnt even have to drill the holes for the faucet. So he charged us $2500 +TAX = $3000 for tub that we still cant use. When we called to inform him that the work wasnt completed, he offered to come put caulk around the tub, which wont ever make the tub stay in place. We will never use him again or recommend him to anyone. Let me be clear, we were not looking for a "bargain". We wanted exceptional work to be completed. We did not get confidence in service. We did not get great service. We did not get exceptional work. And, we DID call. We were offered a caulk job, which should have been done previously. Pretty bummed about that $3000 we just threw out the window.

Among several plumbers I urgently called starting about 4PM for excellent service & tentative price quotes, on the phone, Dave sounded to me like an honest hard working plumber, who gave me a tentative price quote within my budget. We set the 6;30PM that same evening for the bathroom vanity leaking pipes repair connected directly to the main water valve, and for me to find out how good were his words on the phone. He showed up on time with his truck loaded with necessary tools, further assessed the job on question, went to Home Depot to buy necessary materials, then completed the job on time that evening & within my budget. My family was extremely satisfied with his completed work, & also because we were able to cook dinner & took baths that same evening. Try Dave, honest hard working plumbers offering no-hassle-deals are hard to find nowadays!

Had to replace a couple faucets and our home looked up found a plumber. Did not realize we would find a plumber that has a lot of knowledge and did not overcharge. Not only did he fix our faucets. He figured out that our tankless was not working properly and now we do not freeze each other in the shower. If you want an honest plumber this is the one for you.Bill Caudill

What you see is what you get. A good local plumber who is interested in his craft, in doing a good job and in solving your problem, not doing/charging for unnecessary work. Dave is also very personable. I felt like had known him for a few years after just a couple of conversations.

Dave was great. He fixed a shower leak in no time and was a true professional all the way. Dave really knows his stuff and I would highly recommend Banghart Plumbing to anyone who wants the job done right the first time.
