This shop gives all the appearances of being top-notch. The owners and mechanics seem knowledgeable and honest, and they claim to be one of the top ten Audi performance shops in the nation, with customers bringing their cars from quite far away to have work done. I have had work done there three times, and been satisfied with the repairs, but have had some issues. First, after working on my engine, they did not put my front bumper back on properly--it was loose on one side and bulging out on the other. I did not notice until I got home. I wonder how a shop that specializes in Audis, and works on them every day, can fail to put a bumper on correctly. I have to make a second trip using my weekend time and gas money to have them do it right. When trying to decide whether or not to try these guys you need to consider the possibility of having to make a second trip back to have them fix something they goofed up the first time, in case you live further away than a quick drive. The second issue is communication and follow-up. I have had problems with them telling me they would call me or do something, and then not do it. For example, I made a Saturday appointment and then drove 45 minutes to their shop for the appointment only to find the shop closed. They had decided to close the shop for the holiday weekend and had apparently called some of their customers to cancel appointments, but did not call me. That was two hours wasted out of my weekend driving there and back. I recommend the shop to anyone who lives within easy driving distance who can make extra trips to the shop if necessary, and who does not mind staying on top of them to make sure things get done. For people living further away, or who want a more organized shop, you may need to look elsewhere.

If youre trying to mod your GTI, this is the place! Theyre authorized APR dealers. Ian, the owner, is a class act. He ordered my APR intake for me & installed it @ a very fair price. Ian has a great crew, all very professional and can absolutely be trusted to service your German made cars. Mike @ the front desk is a cool dude to chat with while he takes care of your paperwork. The intake took close to an hour to install and Ian happily drove me to the nearest breakfast spot (Champs) for some grub while I waited & then picked me up as well... In his sweet Audi R8 I should add! If thats not 10/10 customer service then idk what is. However if you decide to wait @ the shop they have an awesome waiting room with wifi, Netflix, coffee & refreshments. Even the bathrooms are clean. They take care of their shop - always a good sign. Im more than happy with my first experience here & cant wait to return to have the APR Stage 1 ECU tune flashed by Ian & his crew. :)

A few months ago, I came in to get a humming noise from the back of the car checked. They replaced the fuel pump, but the humming noise continued. After about 2 months, my car started leaking gas from the tank as I was driving, and I was stuck in the middle of the road. I was furious because I could have had a fire. I had the car towed back, and they fixed the gas pipe which was probably not put tightly the first time. Later, they changed the fuel pump and the fuel filter under their warranty, and the noise stopped. Im wondering if they did what they said the first time around. I have had a horrible experience here, along with an argument with a really rude owner, Christian. This time, when I needed to get my timing belt service done, I decided not to waste my time and take my car to the dealership instead. I might have paid a little more, but Im sleeping better at night knowing that all the parts were actually changed.

Unless one finds a superior shop such as Ingolstadt West, a woman can typically expect to be taken advantaged of and overcharged when needing their car serviced. I was always under the impression that only dealers could work on later model cars because of the new technologies etc... So glad I was wrong! Ian, the owner of this shop has gone out of his way to be helpful and save me money. I got an estimate at the dealer and then I came here - a fraction of the price and for the very same thing! When I found out that the owner was an Audi master guild mechanic and how few of them there actually are - I felt like I was getting a bonus. When I left the shop after my first repair, I felt educated and empowered, not confused and broke. I have been back several times since then and referred all my friends that have German cars. Thank you Ingolstadt West for taking great care of my car with affordability in mind! Ill be back!

I brought my car in because it started rumbling and the shop is near where I work. Christian did a free diagnostic for me and discovered that an engine coil was causing the problem. Instead of charging me for labor and parts he was completely honest and advised me that the engine coil could probably be replaced for free since a few had been recalled by Volkswagen. He called up a nearby Volkswagen dealership and got them to squeeze me in that hour to fix my car for free. I really appreciate what he did and I will be going back to Ingolstadt in the future if I ever have another problem.

Ingolstadt West is an impressive shop with decent customer service and trustworthy mechanics. The costs they charge for parts is very fair and while the cost for labor is not cheap, it is less than dealerships and it is a good value. The only disappointing thing I can think of is that they were very busy when I took my car in and it took them nearly two days longer to repair than they originally said it would and they failed to give me timely updates. I will however be going back in the future.

Had them do my APR stage 1 ECU and Im sitting in the waiting room right now waiting for them to install my stage 2 ECU upgrade and supercharger pulley for my 2015 Audi S5. These guys are serious pros. They have all been dealer trained and know a lot about aftermarket performance as well. This place isnt your flashy performance shop with tons to look at for impulse buying. They are a maintenance and repair shop with a lot of experience with aftermarket performance. VERY HIGH QUALITY WORK!

I bought my first VW here back in 2012, the attention to the customer after the purchase was what really impressed me. The continuing contact from my salesperson even two years later just checking in is something that I think is lost at most places anymore. I just traded in my 2012 for a brand new 2014 and the service and desire to make sure the customer is happy is still there. I would suggest Ingolstadt West, German Auto Specialists VW to anyone.

Best place to go in the Valley for Audi, Ive been getting my car serviced and repaired there for years. All very knowledgable, dependable, friendly and trustworthy and at a price that is very reasonable. Its a little out of the way for me to get to their garage, but since I know my car will be in good hands, I dont mind. Id take my car there if it was twice the distance...
