I am Steve, the former Notary and Manager mentioned in the above posting by Ricardo. I sat accross from Ricardo at the time of his notarization and tried to explain why according to California State law I had to attach another sheet with the correct notarial wording. He nodded and said OK. The entire time I was explaining this and actually notarizing his document he continued to keep both of his I-Pod earphones in and play with his device. After I finished the notarization I handed it to him collected his credit card walked over to the register came back with his receipt and had him sign it. After fiddling with his toy for a while longer he finally looked at the papers. It was only after he got up and started to walk towards the door that he said anything about there being a problem with the attachment. It was also only when he decided to listen to himself talk that he removed the earphones. I admit that at this moment when he asked what the attachment was that I began to become annoyed. When I explained a second time why according to law the attachment was necessary, he said it wouldnt do and he demanded a refund. At this point I did say "Well if you took those damned earphones out of your ears and listened to people, you might not have this problem." After so many dealings with rude people, yes I sometimes feel the urge to say something. There is a such thing as common courtesy although it seems in todays world people have forgotten it. I know many other people in the service industry who feel the same way. Just because you are a customer it does not give you the right to be a jerk. Please remember this the next time you are on your phone when walking to the checkout counter, you are being rude and disrespectful. People in uniforms are people too. They are there to help you, show them some gratitude. Their job is to preform a service not deal with your inaptitude to interact with society. Remember you are part of something bigger not a lone entity in your community, start acting like it.

Got put on hold for almost 30 minutes to check on a package (even though they hadnt asked for any information about me or the package). Had to call back, and the tracking number brought up nothing for them (even though I can see it on the website). Had to call multiple UPS stores until one told me they JUST sent it back to sender (an hour or two after I called this store in the morning). Now its on the way ALL THE WAY back across the United States. I have to wait 2 weeks for my package which I needed for the weekend. Do not use this store or UPS ever. Waste of my time and very undependable.

Stay away. The notary is the store manager Steve. This guy should not be in a public-oriented position. He mumbles and got upset because I didnt understant when he said he would have to sign an attachment instead of the actual form I needed notarized. Then he used foul language when I asked for a refund (I asked for this because I coulnt use his attachment). There are plenty of notaries out there. I recomend the one at Kinkos Fed/Ex, although the wait at this store may be a bit longer.

I dont know what happened with the person who wrote the previous bad review. I have been going to this location for 2 years for all my notary needs and have been very happy with him. He as always been jovial and able to explain if I had questions. I have never known him to mumble or curse. But maybe he was having a bad day, who knows.
