Had my 05 Hyundai Sonata in on 3/19/10 for the 60K mile service. 3 months later on Sat., 6/19/10 the engine failed as a direct result of their negligence. The timing assembly belts that they showed as "ok" should have been replaced, per Hyundais recommendations. Stranded out in the desert in temps exceeding 116°F with my minor sons, we were towed the following day, on Fathers Day, to Harbor Hyundai so the car could be first up Monday morning. The deteriorated balance belts teeth had fallen off and caused the crank shaft sensor to malfunction. It cost me thousands of dollars out of pocket before I finally made it home with the boys, safe. Chuck Albert, the service manager, admitted they should have replaced the belts and accepted responsibility for the repairs; however after supposedly turning the information and my itemized invoice over to the owner, Robert Jeffries, no one has made any attempts to settle this matter. Jeffries dodges calls and refused the certified demand letter I sent after 3 weeks of him not returning calls. On their websites, they claim to take customer satisfaction very seriously. I brought my car in to their shop because I felt they were honest and valued my safety and my familys safety. If you value your safety and the safety of your loved ones, I urge you to find someone else to service your vehicle because clearly, this auto shop does not. Mr. Jeffries, if you wish the negative reviews to be mollified with a favorable follow-up that reports you have come forward to honor your integrity by settling this matter, then go to your database, look up invoice 000043699 and get in touch with me. In a small community like Chico, word of mouth can not only help a business grow and thrive, it can also bring it to its knees. Remember this and do the right thing.

Great place for an alignment! Went to four different placrs in Chico before this on, which all refused to touch my slightly lowered car, except one that wanted $160 for it(front toe adjustment only). Thid shop handled it quickly without any issues at a great price. Thanks!
