I would advise anyone with a late 90’s – early 00’s Audi to not bring their car here. I took my car in a couple years ago to fix a few things and the results I got were awful. What I took my car (Late 90’s B5 Audi A4 2.8v) in for: 1. Engine was misfiring 2. Timing belt and water pump replacement 3. Small oil leak What I got back: 1. Engine that was still misfiring (I ended up figuring out the issue myself = faulty ignition coil). 2. Timing belt and water pump replaced but workmanship/parts didn’t last. I had to replace the water pump a couple years later due to it causing a big coolant leak (about 40k after automeister replaced it – usually a water pump should last somewhere between 60k-90k). 3. A new MASSIVE oil leak (about 1 quart every 2 weeks). 4. $2,500 dollars out of my pocket – This was expected so not complaining. 5. This is the biggest disappointment. Instead of owning up for causing an even BIGGER oil leak than my car originally had they asked me for an additional 2k for fixing it. No responsibility taken even though the new leak came from an area they had just worked on. In the end I feel like I paid $2,500 and got nothing in return. My car was in no better condition (actually got it back in worse condition) than when I took it in. Hopefully I can save another person from going through the same thing.

I will never take my car here again, if it was the last place on earth. From the start Pam the receptionist was rude, disrespectful, and condescending she assumed I knew nothing about my car or even cars in general. Every time I called to get an update (because they never bother to call and let you know anything) I was told a different story every time, and the time of completion was extended every time as well. I had to correct the mechanic in several instances because of his seeming lack of knowledge about my car (which they say the specialize in) and poor mathematical skills. The labor rate is absolutely ridiculous and over priced as if you were going to a dealer. They also take their sweet time getting your car done, whether or not you have a deadline to make. It took them 2 weeks to diagnose that I needed to replace my engine and another 2 weeks to start working on replacing it. With the terribly inconsiderate costumer service and snail pace of fixing my car, I would have rather spent more money (that i dont really have) going to a dealership or taking it across the country to get fixed. This is the last place you should go for any car if you want to be treated as a person and have your car back in a reasonable amount of time.

When my warranty ran out on my 2005 5 series I started looking around for alternative service shops and found Automeister through a referral. Talk about honest and straight forward! I really like doing business with these folks. They are very easy to schedule and accommodate requests. In comparison with the BMW dealership these guys rock! Great customer service, Pam is so easy to work with and Jocko has always treated me like a lifetime customer. (Something the big guys should consider) I wont ever go back to the dealership. Last summer I gave them a call for an engine light and happen to be on my way home so Jocko said to swing by. Hooked up the testing equipment and found I had a faulty ox sensor. He got the part in two days had it installed for less than half what the dealership wanted. I have had other work done as well. He even pointed out a recall I wasnt aware of from BMW and sent me there so that I could take advantage of it. I am a lifetime customer.

DO NOT GO HERE. this is the worst mechanic in the world. he couldnt fix my car, then charged me for the time he spent. what the hell???? who charges money for failing to fix a car? Ernie Schmitt is a piece of shiet rip off mechanic. he thinks he knows what he is doing, but he does not. there was something wrong with my electrical system and he claimed it was the alternator. obviously he did not spend the time to investigate. he assumed it was the alternator, charged me for a new one and the minutes he spent on labor. i brought the car back to him because it still had the same problem. he refused to waste any more time on my car because he lacked the knowledge and skills to fix it and then would not give me a refund. finally, after threatening legal action, he gave me a refund on the alternator (beacuse i did not need a new alternator at all) but then he refused to give me a refund on the labor.

Great shop. The business side (e.g. callbacks, updates, etc) is good, but not quite on par with something like a dealership -- but still totally fine. Mechanically, theyre great. I dropped a PITA lemon of a project truck into Jockos lap, and he stuck with it, stood behind his work, and bent over backward to make sure that we ended up where we needed to be. tl/dr: Hard customer with a painful vehicle. Jocko always made sure we were taken care of. I would have sent me out the airlock a long time ago.

I took my S550 in for the first time. Jocko is great. Im not a regular to non dealership mechanics as I try to keep cars for only a certain time frame so its under warranty. However I love my S550 and needed a solid mechanic in Issaquah. As a business owner in Issaquah I am concerned about reputation myself so Im very picky in how Im taken care of by other businesses. Ive been there couple times now and all Ive received each visit is first class treatment. I would highly recommend Jocko and his staff.

I know of this shop by reputation within the local Car buff community. This community is not known for writing things like "on-line" reviews, so I thought I would pass along the word to those of us who are. This shop comes with only the best recommendation from my Father-in-Law who owns more classic German and British cars than I can count off hand. He highly recommends either Ernie or Jocko and states they have a reputation for being extremely honest about whether work is needed or not.

We were stranded on the side of the road and nobody had the equipment to respond quickly in our time of need. We went to automeister and they were extremely friendly. Not only did they fix our predicament but they dropped what they were doing just to get us back on the road as quickly as possible so we could make our deadlines, we were back on the road in 30 minutes and at excellent cost. Im bringing my whole fleet to automeister!

Awesome mechanic! I have brought my vehicle to Automeister various times for unfortunate, unexpected, and costly repairs. Jocko was always honest with what was going on with my car, and even allowed payments so I could get back on the road quickly. He always performed quality work. Pam was also friendly and helpful. If you have a german car..........go here!

Jocko is the only one I trust to work on my vehicles. A Supercharged MINI Cooper, 1977 CJ-7 Jeep, Smart Car and a Chevy Avalanche. He can work on ANYTHING. I love the fact that I can walk into his shop at any given time and Ill see anything from a 57 Chevy to a brand new Ferrari.
