A letter from A-Avis Plumbing-Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. stated a “FREE one year Maintenance Agreement including a Precision Tune-Up and Cleaning on your air conditioner or furnace because you are kind enough to read this letter and give me a chance to solve your problem. I want you to think well of A-Avis Plumbing-Heating and Air Conditioning, even if you do not buy.” Ed Ballard, President, came to our house and tried to sell us furnace upgrades of $3,535. We told him we were only interested in the $575 furnace cleaning package. Ed told us he couldn’t do just one item, as they were priced as a package. The furnace cleaning was usually $1200. Over four days of calling back and forth Ed finally told us he could do the furnace cleaning for $575 and his office would call us for an appointment. His office never called, in spite of what the letter said. Ed told us our blower wheel was packed with dirt and blower motor was filthy. He showed us a blower wheel picture having no space between the slats. Only it wasn’t a picture of our blower wheel, as it turns out. Two professional Heating and Air Conditioner workman just left our house. They spent 3 hours completely cleaning and flushing the compressor, the blower motor, blower wheel, furnace return cabinet and the A-coil box, giving it a “tune-up” while we watched everything they did. The workmen indicated everything in our furnace had a normal amount of dirt; nothing was filthy or excessively dirty. The workman had us personally check the blower wheel which was NOT packed with dirt. Ed did not show me a picture of my blower wheel, but someone else’s blower wheel to sell me his products. The best part? Two professionals not selling me something, actually knowing what they are doing and doing a job under my inspection cost me a total of $250.00. My recommendation? Ed Ballard should be a car salesman. You expect everything out of car salesmen’s mouth to be anything but the truth. Ed Ballard’s letter above is nice – but not truthful. Run away fast from A-Avis wanting to take your hard earned money.

I am what you might say skeptical of anyone whom makes customer service promises, guarantees to deliver what was promised, and state they back up those guarantees. Ed and his company Avis Plumbing and Heating has exceeded my expectations, have delivered on everything they promised, and made me a believer in his company. Initially, my wife and I had decided to replace our AC/Heating system which was over 20 years old. We had contacted several companies in our area, all of which were highly rated on the Angies List, YP, and Yelp. However, we decided to use AVIS based on the many years the compnay had been in business and upon the initial inpsection with Ed. Ed asked us what we were wanting in the our new system. He provided us with direct answers to all our questions. He was both polite, prefessional, and courteous. My wife suffers from respiratory brochitis and Ed was very simpatheic and genuinely concern. He layed out an economical and clean system unit and accessory (apailaire and air scrubber) that we could afford. In addition, we found we could also have the insulation removed, sanitized, and replace with ecofriendly insulation all within our budget (wasnt the case with other companies). Upon installation, Lead technician Chris explained the ins & outs of our new system, was very friendly, and quite professional thru-out the installation process. Thank you Chris! I can go on and on about how happy my wife and I are about the service we received. My wife is breathing better and Im getting a good nights sleep. Many thanks to AVIS for living up to and delivering on your commitment to make a skeptic like me a believer in customer service once again!

I have dealt with several air conditioning contractors due to the fact i have several rentals and one commercial building in the Riverside. I was using a local company but decided to give Avis a try after some issue i will not get into at this time with the staff. A business associate recommended them because he uses them for the maintenance on his unit on the roof and has been for about three years. I decided to give them a try and was very impressed from the start with the office staff and how professional and informative they are, very well trained. The technician that came out was Glenn and he was very knowledgeable and also very professional. Talked to me about the unit about how it worked and didnt work and my needs as a landlord. He went straight to me without involving my tenant, not like other companys, I love this about them. I signed up on the maintenance plan for one of my duplexes and plan on switching over all my rentals as they come due.

We recently got a complete AC system cut in on our house by Avis and couldnt be happier with the service. The install techs were very knowledgeable, answered any questions or concerns I had and were nothing but respectful! They paid attention to the detail and made sure the project was done right. I dont say very often that someone I hired took the pride in completing a project as if it was their own place and these guys did. After install we had our first heat wave and I noticed that one room wasnt cooling as well as the others so I called Avis back. The Owner Ed and the sales Rep Richard were out at our house the next day to check out the problem. A few dampers and grills were finely adjusted to create the correct air flow and we now couldnt be happier. If your looking for professional work combined with great customer service I can recommend these guys for your AC needs!!

One of the biggest crooks in the industry. The owner must be related to the owners of Right Time Heating and Air since their sales tactics and prices are very similar. If the unit has a bad run capacitor they will try to sell you on a brand new system when in reality that repair should only cost a few hundred dollars so why would i want to spend several thousand in order to fix a problem that would normally cost a tenth of that price. Beware of these scam artists. Half the time the technicians dont know what they are doing or have a criminal background and usually are on drugs when they show up to your house. You couldnt pay me to have this company come fix my system.

After contacting two other companies for a bid on my HVAC overhaul, AVIS won my bid because of their attentiveness, courteousness, and overall friendliness. The other companies showed none of these characteristics. When work began, the installers worked through several difficulties that they were able to overcome quickly. The entire project was done in 4 days and we were happy campers. Id definitely recommend them to anyone else that needs HVAC services performed!!

I am so very pleased! Everything not only met my expectations but exceeded it. The install crew, Miguel and Christian, was professional and did an excellent job. The equipment is better than I thought it would be and i wished I done it earlier. Richard, the salesmen was professional and did a wonderful job. The follow up and follow through was on point. Overall, my experience was great. Highly recommend Avis.

85 dollars for the tech just to look and evaluate. The 85 is NOT included in the repair. Tech gets paid by the hour. Just Like any tattooe artist....theyll take there time. Found another spot where the 60 dollar evaluation fee was waved if service was needed. Website said open 7days a week amd click here for same day service. Well....todays monday and i "clicked here" on saturday....smh
