I sometimes like this gym and sometimes I dont. That is why I am giving it a 3 star. They have a lot of cardio equipment, which is great because during the busy hours you can still find a machine for yourself or wait very little to get one. These are located on the first and second floors of the gym. What I have noticed recently is that many of the machines frequently are out of order or the TVs do not work. On the third floor are all the free weights, lifting equipment, and machines. This area gets really full during the busy hours and most of the time you have to wait or run to a free machine before someone else takes it. Again, some of the machines frequently have out of order signs. It can get really messy too with people leaving free weights in different areas etc. On the first floor there is also a pool and sauna aside from the cardio and training area. The sauna is pretty big which I love going to. Recently, the wood on the seating has started to lift, which annoys me when Im climbing to sit in the upper row. Feels like it might break! In the underground level are the fitness classes. I havent tried any of them since I prefer to lift, but they look very popular and full. The womens locker and shower room is very clean and put together. Ive never had an issue in this area to complain about. Just bring your own lock! Im sure everyone hates the parking here as much as I do. It is horrible, I often find myself circling the lot many times. The gym is located in a place that has other stores and restaurants which parking is shared with. The only really good, comfortable time to come to this gym is as soon as it opens. Thats the only time I am fully happy with my gym time at this LA Fitness.

This is my first real review, and while this may sound like a rage review, I promise you that I am simply trying to save a headache for someone out there. Nothing but trouble. We joined this gym because it was extremely close to where we live. Weve been there for about 6 months, and are leaving because we are moving to an area with no LA fitness. When we first looking into gyms, this place looked great. Tons of machines, classes, a pool, and the promise of expansion. Within the time that weve been there, several machine have been broken and un-usable for extended periods of time (The ONLY rowing machine for one). The bikes for the classes are in awful shape and extremely rickety. Theyve closed down the pool. Additionally, within the time that weve been there they sent out a postcard that waived the 200.00 registration fee. When we told them we were moving, they told us to cancel by a particular date. We went in two days before that date on a Saturday, and they informed us that only ONE person can cancel from 9-5 M-F(right when people have work, convenient right?). This essentially tacked on an additional 30.00 each of gym membership that we have and wont even be around. You may be able to avoid these hassles by planning ahead, and if you do join this gym be extra attentive to the rules, but assure you the quality of the gym itself is very poor, and the maintenance and upkeep on equipment is very poor. I hope this review saves a lot of people from making the same mistake we did.

This gym is alright. I been to a lot and its no different than any other gym out there. Location wise its great except for the parking. Its in a Plaza so make sure you get here during a good time to get a spot otherwise youll have to park next door at best buy/Ralphs parking lot. Back to the gym. The weights are in pretty good condition. The weight machines are in really good condition I think theyre new. Their cardio machines I would say are the biggest disappointment to me. This place definitely needs a new load of cardio equipment. A lot of the times I see machines that are no longer in service. Of course a day or two or three later they get fixed. A lot of cardio machines are also quite worn down. For a gym like this, which I thought was a step above 24hr fitness(my previous membership), its actually quite mediocre when it comes to the cardio equipment. Theres also not a lot of room for crossfit workouts, which is a real bummer. Other than that I really appreciate that they have sanitation stations to wipe down equipment with along with some having hand sanitizers. The cafe within this location is actually quite good I suggest giving that a try for post workout nutrition. The staff is also quite friendly. I really love how they dont push you to sign up for training sessions here. Its a nice break to have unlike other places (golds gym). All in all Id say its a decent place to get your exercise in

I was going to another gym and my membership ran out last week... I was complaining to a friend about the cost and he recommended this gym which was about the same distance from my place but half the price. I took a look at the gyms website and took advantage of the advertised 7-day free trial. I then show up at the gym and was told that there is no such thing as a free trial and I have to pay $10 per workout. I show the fellow my free trial pass but he says its not free and that I must pay. I mean are you kidding me!!! At this point, I thought maybe they thought I just here for a free workout, rather than to serious check out the gym. Get this, being annoyed I actually offered to prepay for starting the next week after the free trial had ended so there was no confusion that I was indeed serious about joining. To my utter amazement, the guy repeated that there was no free trial and that I would have to pay starting today. Okay, so youd think its just staff trying to make a few pennies on commissions... but no, he was the actual General Manager of the gym. You know, I dont care that their prices are half the price of other gyms... just on principle I cant give my money to such a dishonest corporation.

I have been a LA fitness member since 7 years ago. I lived in different states, and tried numerous LA fitness clubs. This gym is a mess, and cause of my decision to terminate my membership with LA fitness. The other night I went for a work out; on the third floor (where all the equipments are) you couldnt breath. there was steam on all windows, and there was no air, broken AC?!!! Most of the time its hot and there is not enough air, but this time I had to walk out of there to be able to breath! Most of equipments are old and broken, the waiting time to be able to use the equipments is about 5 min, but forget about treadmill. Despite the fact that there are almost 6 treadmills sitting there out of service you have to wait at least 15 min. Yoga classes held under fitness class were everybody through their weights on the floor, imagine you are doing yoga and Bang Bang, someone through a weight on the floor ( which is the ceiling of your classroom). Restrooms are always dirty! Swimming pool is nasty!I am looking for another gym in the area, and looking forward to cancel my membership with LA fitness. I also ran into a very rude instructor and they didnt take care of the issue!
