I am not one to generally write reviews but this has been the worst customer experience I had ever received and I would never recommend anyone join this gym. Theres many other gyms in the area that would be better worth your money then giving this corrupt place a dime. The staff is impossible to deal with. The sales person, Aaron, rushed me through the sign-up process and didnt provide me with all the available membership options (which I came to find out later from a friend who dealt with a different sales rep that day and got offered a better deal). When I went to Aaron to ask to get my membership changed to the one that my friend had been offered he refused to acknowledge what happened or change my membership package. He was extremely unprofessional and flat out rude. He claimed that I was probably referring to a special promotion that had been run, which I confirmed has been running for the past month and I should have qualified for (but of course he would not admit this). When I called the next day to speak to the Operations Manager, Christina, I was told she was busy and would return my call. Needless to say that call was never returned. I tried to cancel my membership but they refused to do it over the phone and insisted that I come in from 9am-6pm to do it in person. As a full-time employed person, that was not an option for me. They gave me no feasible option to cancel and hands down the worst customer service that Ive ever received.

LA Fitness is the worst gym I have been a member of. I pay about $50/month and work out according to their open hours. They are closed on certain holidays and short hours on other holidays. The machines are very basic compared to other non LA Fitness gyms. The worst experience was at this site. I completed my workout near closing time and decided to use the sauna. A staff walked in to the sauna to inform me that they will close in 10 min, staff stood outside and waited for 5 min before shutting off the sauna as well as the sauna light. I stepped out of the sauna and was told that I need to leave the gym in 5 min as they are closing. The money I pay does not meet the quality of service. I prefer to work out when my body tells me too and not during their open hours. The machines are not great and when a machine breaks it will be fixed in about 2-3 weeks. I have attended gyms in Chicago and Las Vegas that are not LA Fitness . These gyms have been 24 hours and 365 days per year, the membership cost was less than LA Fitness gym. I have decided to cancel my membership for LA Fitness as it is not worth it.

Nice small workout facility. Well maintain machines and equipment. Locker rooms are clean. Great outdoor basketball, sand volleyball, mini soccer field, and pool areas. I cannot comment much about the workout classes as the previous reviewer commented but I know those classes get filled and packed up quickly. So if you plan to go to those classes get there early before the rush or good luck finding space or spin cycle to ride on. Courteous staff members...a simple greeting and smile suffices but not sure about sales team. If youre looking for high end top of the line workout facility...day spa then be an Equinox member. Unless you prefer Golds Gym. A few things to note: - Garage parking space is limited with a 2 hour MAX parking validation. You will be charge if you go over the 2 hour limit or if you lose your validated ticket. Cash payment is not accepted. - Overly crowded in the evenings and weekends. Good Luck finding a bench and/or machine. Again as I first stated a Nice Small workout facility. Early morning is the best time to go but gets easily crowded by 7AM during the weekdays.

Too crowded to get a good workout in. I had a trainer kick me off a machine he wasnt even using and told me he had three sets. You constantly have people asking you how many sets you have left and the equipment I want to use is almost never available. Getting a treadmill can even be a challenge. There class schedule is geared more towards Zumba, Pilates type workouts...Im more into a Tabata, or body pump type class and these options are not available. I usually leave the gym angry because I spent the whole time fighting the crowd and didnt get a work out in, literally every corner you are running into someone. Not to mention the parking garage is so frustrating, there a bunch of men running around telling you where to park and they try to double park the spaces so you have to give up your keys and then wait for them to be able to get your keys back to you when you want to leave. Ive gained weight since Ive joined this gym mainly because now I hate going to the gym.

Its clean, but as an LA Fitness that wont last very long. Decent gym for the price. But there are some significant negatives: Very crowded in the evenings, and at times difficult and time consuming to get a good workout due to the crowds. I cannot reiterate how bad the crowds get - its one thing to be flexible in a routine, and its quite another for the crowds to derail your routine entirely. And that parking garage is the stuff of nightmares. I was told when I joined "Youll never have to wait for a bench". Which is a bold-faced lie. I havent been able to get a bench my last three trips there. Also, lots of people come here to talk on the phone, which is a whole different beast. Like some other people said, I also had a trainer kick me off equipment to use it for their own purposes. Mind you, this equipment was not in the "personal training area", of which personal training has priority, but at a regular machine in the main part of the gym.

Went in and dealt with a very nice & friendly gentleman who later to find out completely lied to my face about what I was being charged for. I explained my situation thoroughly to him, and he ripped me off and then the company proceeded to charge me for service I didnt use when I wasnt even in the state. I called to talk to several people and explained my situation, they refused to admit any blame or refund me the money they had stole from me. If I lived in the state, I would go back talk to the gentleman who wrongly sold me a membership while lying about what I was being charged for and ask if his commission check is worth it knowing that he was looking good people in the eye and ripping them off.

I wanted to find a new gym and I heard this one was great! But no this is not what I experienced, I had a free pass because my friend has a New Years special or something so I waned to check it out, the lady at the front desk Brittany was harassing me about getting a gym membership, I told her to just wait until after my workout and how I liked it and kept questioning me about why I wouldnt get one right then and there. She kept calling me and telling if I was going to get one and then she texted me....I think from her personal phone. Thats so unprofessional and you turned me off from the whole getting a membership from this gym. And the inside isnt even that nice and the layout is weird.
