2/4/2012 Gone there for an A/C does not blow cold air. The owner told me there is no leak but the R134A is low that is why youre A/C is not blowing cold air. I said, "There must be a leak." He said, "In the last five years did I every charge the A/C?" I said, "No, since I brought the car back in 1999." He said, "Well the R134A will evaporates and that is why." So he charges the system up and I pay him. The next day the A/C is not blowing cold again. I will take it back to him on Monday February 6, 2012 after work and see if he can either fix it or return my money. To be continued... 2/6/2012 Today after work gone back to De Anza Auto Repair and talk to the owner. Today they lifted my car into the air and check underneath and found the following holes leaking. See picture. So he gives me another price to fix it. First I pay $140 plus on Saturday now he want another $300 plus. I told him on Saturday that there must be a leak in a close system that is why my Freon is empty. The owner said again today, that it was evaporated. And I explain again its a leak and you see it now. I told him I dont want to spend that much money so can you please refund the money I pay on Saturday? He said, "No, he will refund only the Freon and not the $44.95 labor". I told him I will think about it and get back with him. What to do? Pricey Toyota wants $362.50 for replacing the holes that is leaking which will include the A/C charge up and changing the holes with a year of warranty. 2/17/2012 Today I made an appointment to replace the hose that was leaking for the AC system. I make an appointment for 10 am but the owner did not show up until noon. Then he wanted me to pay an extra $20 dollars because he said, "I got my own part and so he is going to increase on the labor". I said to him, "I ask for a brake down on the parts and labor so I can see if I got my own parts that would be cheaper." He wanted $181 + Tax on the hose which I pick up for only $69 + Tax. I pay for the labor of $125 and ask him will the system be leaking again? He said, "It should hold. (with a smile)". Well today I can hear a leak and of cause I found out where the leak is because its at a coupling under side of the car on the power door side. I will be back to see this evil auto center again. This is the last time either they will fix it or well go to court for it because I know for sure this place was not leaking for they suppose all ready check for leaks two weeks ago and the tech did a vacuum test today to assure me that there is no other leak. Boy did I make a mistake by taking my car to this place or what...to be continued.

I stopped by without an appointment this morning for an oil change. The shop was able to take me right away, and moved another car so that mine could get checked. Luis was very kind and communicative. During the oil change, Luis came out to tell me that my car needed a different type of filter - one that cost $28.95 instead of $23.95. I appreciated knowing the difference in price even though it was only a $5 change. After the checkup, Luis walked with me around my car, which was still lifted to check on the brakes. He asked a mechanic to remove one of the tires so I could see. He brought a flashlight and showed me exactly what the brakes looked like and where they were wearing thin. It was nice to actually SEE what he was talking about. No other mechanic has actually shown me the parts of my car and explained what they looked like and what they needed to look like to function properly. He gave me a timeframe for replacement. The total charge for my oil change and fluids was $35.30.

Over several years I had taken my vehicle to a dealer on Stevens Creek Blvd, San Jose, and then to a tire store elsewhere in Cupertino. Both of those other places returned poor response, late delivery, and additional repair charges were always many times higher than the original estimate. I decided to bring the vehicle to De Anza Auto Center for routine brake service. The difference between the other places and De Anza Auto Center was like night & day -- there was an added charge but it was reasonable (and not a surprise), the vehicle was delivered on-time, and after driving it for a while I find no problem whatsoever. I plan to bring the vehicle to De Anza Auto Center for a while.

Thank you very much! Great service! Polite and attentive people! At first I came to Sh..l-autoservice and they said that it would be $165 for only diagnostics. And the results would be only the day after. But in DeAnza they immediatelly tested my car FOR FREE, booked a new thermostat by phone and in coulpe hours returned me my car. And it cost $160 - less than Sh..l takes for diagnostics! Special thanks to Lewis (I hope I memorize his name correctly). He is an excellent professional and great guy! Cheers from Russia Best regards, Max

We have been very satisfied with their service and prices. They are a family owned business and we have never felt that we were taken for a ride or charged or serviced for something that was not required.
