Scotts Valley Auto & Transmission is an awesome shop, hands down. I picked up a 74 El Camino and I needed to make sure it would make the trip back home to Texas, about 1600 miles. They were the only shop who would see me on such short notice, even told me what kind of costs wed be looking at without me having to ask. Christy & Rigo up front got me settled in, and told me about all the cool sights the area had to offer. John is the mechanic who works on the classics and hes a straight shooter. Knows his stuff, works on his own cars, one of the old school guys. He pointed out what on the car was in good shape, what could use some attention, and what I needed to focus on replacing first, all without trying to sell me on anything. I visited them for a pre-road trip inspection on Thursday, and me & the car made it home to Texas Sunday night. Best auto shop experience Ive ever had. I just wish they were closer to home. If youre scared of taking your car into the shop because you think you might get ripped off one way or another, just head on down to Scotts Valley Transmission & Auto Care, theyll get you sorted out without any of the stress or anxiety that usually follows when needing auto repair or maintenance.

I dont leave to many reviews, but I had to write one up for the awesome work and customers service at Scotts Valley Transmission & Auto. My car was having some trouble shifting, so I scheduled a appointment. They diagnosed the problem very quickly, broke down the cost for parts, labor and when comparing their quote to other shops the price was a lot more affordable to go with Scotts Valley Transmission. From beginning to end the whole staff was very professional and a pleasure to work with. My car is running like new again! Thanks again to everyone who helped me. Will definitely recommend and refer you to anyone needing work done on their car.

I have been to many auto shops in my 51 years of life and never have been this pleased.these guys are hands down the best.they took care of my ford f 350 diesel high pressure oil pump in 2 days.i told them i needed my truck back for my family trip in 4 days and they got r done and to they called every day with updates. i will drive my truck from San Jose just so they will work on it. Scotts valley pat your self on the back,,,,your know customer care.

Im a pretty accomplished amateur mechanic and rebuilt the tranny on one of my cars. Still, I cant be considered a pro. While the car seemed to run okay it was just a little rough when shifting - sometimes hunting between gears at certain speeds. I finally decided to bring it in for SVT to review. They quickly found that the vacuum modulator was leaking through the diaphragm. The price to fix was fair and the tranny works perfectly now.

This place always takes care of me. I came here not just for a clutch install, and had great service done on multiple cars. I also drive down from San jose. My preferred mechanic is brad walls hes been working on my cars for over 10 years.
