Ive lived in Duarte for 20+ years. A neighbor recommended Alex Romo. Ive since taken all of my cars for service and repair to him. Alex is honest and far more reasonable than taking the car to the dealership. Ive taken my VWs, Jeep Cherokee, Land Rover, and my Audi and theyve worked on them all. In addition, Im a car enthusiast. I have a couple of project cars that I do my own work on. I rebuilt and assembled the cars myself. When one of them was almost complete, Alex and crew helped me sort out some minor problems, fine tune the motor, and get the car road worthy so that it could pass smog and legally registered. Most mechanics wont touch a car if they didnt do the initial work. I recommend Alex Romo to all of my neighbors and friends in and around Duarte.

Alex Romo took in my poor 06 Hyundai Elantra after Pep Boys couldnt fix it. The staff there was very courteous and thorough, especially the receptionist Joanne. The damage to my car ended up being too expensive for me to afford, but they were able to keep car in their parking lot for 3 days while I figured out a way to tow it all the way to Thousand Oaks. And when I finally showed up with my truck and tow dolley, they even helped me push it on the dolley and strap it down. I feel bad actually, because Alex kinked something in his leg while helping. But it was really refreshing how helpful and competent everyone was. 5/5 would take my car there again. And alex if youre reading, get some ice on that leg man.

Do not believe what they tell you!! I was told that my car needed front brakes that the pads were metal to metal. I told them that I would do that at a later date. fast forward 2 weeks I took my car to my regular shop down in San Diego and I was told the my brakes were almost new. I was also billed for filling my 4 week old battery with fluid and charged me for it. My regulars shop told me that they fill the battery as needed as a courtesy. They charged me $9.95 they also marked up a $125.00 ECU to $395.00, that is ridiculous. BEWARE!!!

They are exceptionally knowledgeable, helpful and - best of all - reasonable. They will NOT try to sell you a repair you dont need either, will let you know if its critical, marginal or can wait and about how long you can wait. Love this place!!!!!
