Sierra Madre Independent Honda was top notch. I drove up, within no more than 20 seconds Brian hooked up his diagnostic tool pulled the Check Engine Light Codes and went to work diagnosing the cause of the problems on my 2003 Honda Civic Si for free. I URGENTLY needed this fixed in able to pass a smog check so I could register my car. I had a code indicating the knock sensor had an issue, which was strange because i had JUST replaced it. Since it was going to take a little bit i elected to leave the car.After 2 hours he called me and informed me that he could not located the issue and then we kept talking and we determined it was that a non OEM part might be the culprit. Brian then asked if i could pick up the car the next afternoon since he had to order and install the part. I agreed. That was at 2pm. At 4:50, the same day] I got a call from Brian saying my car was done and i could pick it up. He even stayed 10 minutes past closing so i could get my car back. If you have a Honda Or Acura i HIGHLY recommend taking it to Chris and Brian at Sierra Madre Independent Honda. Not only are they great at what they do, they are honest and will not recommend excess services.

I took my Acura to Chris after I had a horrible experience with a previous mechanic. I had called other places (Honacura in Glendale and Accurate Auto Repair in Pasadena) but some places (like Accurate) try to charge $120 for a diagnostic just to look at your car. What a ripoff...Im trying to get away from bad mechanics not step into more s--t. Anyway, I found out about Sierra Madre Independent Honda because someone on Acurazine mentioned the shop. They were right. I called Chris and he offered to look at my car for free. To top it off, when I went there, he figured out the issue quickly and sent me on my way. I was surprised a one man show shop could provide such outstanding service. Will come back again.

Chris did really quick work, and had very fair prices. Never had been to Sierra Madre either, and its quite a nice little area. Glad to have found this place. He said hes been there for over 20 years, so I think its a great place to go for all your Honda maintenance.
