Last week, through the great efforts of Marty and her team we were able to close of the third and last of my mothers properties. My mother passed away in April leaving her home and two rental properties in a trust. The trust has 12 beneficiaries and my brother and I as co-Trustees. So we had 3 properties to sell, and the beneficiaries wanted them sold quickly, as did I. This review is for the sale of the final rental property. As soon as the renters moved out, Marty came to the house and we walked through each room and the outside and discussed the things to do that would improve the value of the house with a decent return on the investment and allow the house to sell more quickly and qualify for loans. This particular rental had the same renter for 39 years and 11 months. Marty helped me to focus on the priority things to do and let me know what color schemes would attract buyers. Once the house was refurbished, Marty review the house and we set a price. She brought us a full process offer the next day. The buyer in the end had issues getting his loan and the closing was delayed, but Martys team worked with the buyer and eventually the house did close. Ideally it would have been nice if the buyer had the loan funded on time, but that did not happen in this case. Martys team did keep working with the buyer until he got a loan funded. The closing was additionally delayed because my co-trustee, my brother, had to sign the papers too. He was happy with the price, and had signed the sales agreement, but he just did not want to sign the papers. He has his own issues and can be very difficult even in the best of circumstances. Martys assistant, Christine, continued to reach out to him and call him to get him to respond and come in to sign the papers. Which he eventually did, a week later that desirable. Christine spent an enormous amount of time and effort to reach out to my brother and establish a relationship with him so that he would respond to her. She worked with him through the sale of the first two houses too. (He does not respond to me at all.) If not for her efforts and persistence, we likely would be in litigation with him, rather than having a sold house. I can not recommend Marty and her team enough! _______________________________ Marty has sold three houses for me in the past few months. This review is on the second house she sold. My mother passed away and this house was one of her rentals. After the renters moved out, Marty came to the house and together we walked thorough the house and discussed the different things that I could do to make the house more appealable to buyers and to get more money on the sale. I got the house fixed up and Marty came to discuss pricing the house. WE agreed on the price, then the HARDER part had to happen. MY brother who is co-trustee on moms things had to agree to sell the house. She convinced him to sign the listing contract. Within less than a week she had a full price buyer. Then Marty, with the assistance of her fabulous assistant Christine, had to get my brother to sign the sales contract. He liked the price, and had no concerns, he just did not want to sign it because he does not like to be told what to do (from me). Christine finally got him to sign the sales agreement and did it again with the deed. We closed a few days late, totally my brothers fault. But without Christine and Marty, we would never have closed. This house was my childhood home (before we moved and it became a rental) so it was nice seeing is sold to a Vet! And the VA loan process was easy for us! Marty had priced the house so it appraised fine. Thanks Marty and Christine for selling all 3 houses! And putting up with my brother! And now, Christine deserves a BIG bonus! A week in Hawaii to relax, ok Marty?

I cannot recommend Marty and her team enough! My family home was built in the 40’s and was definitely a “fixer upper”. Her expertise and know-how attracted buyers who were interested in unlocking its potential though, and we soon had buyers. It is at this point where we truly were lucky to have chosen her as a realtor. While our buyers were great, their lenders were absolutely horrible and fumbled every aspect of getting their loan approved. This was exceptionally terrible, because at this point, my family was already set to close on a new home out of state! Not only did Marty stand up for us in our efforts to move things along, but after being in on conference calls with her, I know she is not afraid to assert her dominance in tricky situations to make sure her clients interests aren’t left by the wayside. There is a reason why she is one of the best realtors in SoCal! In the end, the buyers moved their loan to one of Marty’s preferred lenders, which highlights one of her team’s other positive traits: their connections. We really appreciate the close relationship they had with lending firms, escrow officers, contractors and other professionals, whose expertise they could draw on at a moment’s notice to get their clients the best advice. Finally, I will say everyone on Marty’s team is super warm and responsive, to the point where I felt like I was family when bringing my mom and grandma into their office to take care of paperwork. During our toughest times in ensuring my family could sell their house and have the funds for a new place to live, Marty and her team’s consistent updates and warm attitude and patience were a much needed lifeline. Don’t look further than Marty Rodriguez and her team of confident, competent, and kind realtors!!

My mom passed away leaving her primary home to sale as well as two rentals. This review is of the sale of moms primary home. We listed the house in Glendora with Marty Rodriguez. It was an older home that had not been remodeled since the 1980s. We knew that whoever bought the home would completely remodel it. Marty suggested things we could do to help in selling the home. However we were not able to implement these ideas as my brother was still living in the home. Marty and other agents brought through potential buyers, It was very hard to show the home as my brother was living there and he would not let buyers in, or he would lock the doors to the master bedroom and bath and the den, not allowing some buyers to see those rooms. And he kept the house a mess. The major comment from potential buyers who made it into the home was that it smelled bad due to the smoking and dirty dishes. In about a month Marty found a buyer anyways! She also was instrumental in making my brother understand that he really now did need to move out of the house. She even found multiple laborers to help the reluctant brother with moving out his stuff. Marty went well above and beyond in making this sale happen. And her assistant Christine was very helpful too! Marty also sold one of my mothers rentals and the other is in escrow, so I will be writing reviews for both of these transaction too.
