Island Locksmith works hard to please. This unassuming Father and Son Team does a lot out of work out of their small downtown Hayward Business. I first called them in a pinch and because they were local. But soon I found that they are very knowledgeable in all forms of locks and security. They not only retrofitted our entire office and warehouse in new classy, strong hardware, they also supplied our trucks security with Pin Locks. All of their supplies are top notch state of the art. I will give them all of our future business because of their great service and products.

I went to make a copy only to receive one which does not work. I had to go back and get another one and to my surprise, both the original and the copy did not work. When I go back with the request to do something which makes at least the original key work, I get outright refusal citing reasons that lock is broken and saying that its not my fault, I cant do much about it and the shopkeeper was rude saying that Do you understand english and should I get a dictionary for you etc. It was a bad experience for me and I would not recommend this place at all.

Closed or Open? I called a little after 2pm to see if they were closed today, a Saturday, and they said yes and theyd be opened until 3pm. I told them Id be right over. I got there at 230pm and they were closed. Tried calling twice, no answer. One word to describe this customer service, Ridiculous".

Island will be my locksmith for a lifetime! They helped me evict some unwanted tenants. They were on time, and opened and rekeyed my lock in less than an hour. I will definitely be giving these guys a call again!
