If you want details about my nightmare experience with the Hayward Maaco, read on, but if youre short on time, here is my advice: DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR TO THIS SHOP! While the management is friendly and likes to works with customers, neither they, nor the shop workers have the skill or desire to perform good work. They DO NOT deliver on their promises and to make matters worse, their mechanical skills are absolutely HORRIBLE. There is no oversight of the work performed by the workers -- problems which are brought to their attention are rarely addressed. THEY SIMPLY DO SLOPPY WORK AND HOPE THAT THE CUSTOMER DOES NOT NOTICE. I purchased their top-of-the-line paint job. This package was supposed to restore my car to factory condition and was to be blemish free. I also paid for them to disassemble certain parts of my car so that it could be properly painted. After FOUR months and FOUR trips to their shop my car is now covered with buffer burns, drip marks, air bubbles and orange peel texture. They stripped the paint from parts of the car which SHOULD NOT have been stripped and did not paint other parts which SHOULD BE PAINTED. They failed to mask the car properly so there is paint over spray on my tires, rims, leather seats and engine compartment. KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS IS THE BEST PAINT PACKAGE THEY OFFER. Their attention to detail is so lax that they failed to mask the engine area and painted over the air conditioning condenser. The repair guys also failed to reassemble the car properly, and on one occasion, failed to reattach the bumpers correctly, leaving them to rattle in the wind and potentially fall off of the car. On another occasion, one of the locks on my car was broken -- it would fall into the door when I tried to use it. They broke several of the plastic parts in the door and failed to put many of the bolts and screws back into my vehicle. The shop workers also failed to reassemble the front doors properly, so they now leak air into the cabin of the vehicle. At highway speed this produces a loud wind noise inside the car. As a result, it is difficult to listen to the radio or carry on a conversation when driving the car at high speed, especially if there is a cross-wind. I attempted to work with the corporate HQ to resolve this issue, but since the shops are individually-owned franchises, they are powerless to do anything other than to take complaints from customers. I wish I had never taken my car to this shop. Now I am stuck with a damaged vehicle that has a bad paint job. Given the other reviews posted here I would understand if someone was skeptical. If you have doubts about anything I have said here, please feel free to contact me and I will be more than happy to provide pictures of the damage. To sum up what I have said here, save yourself a lot of time and headaches -- if you are considering having your vehicle painted, TAKE IT SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Sorry I went to Maaco. Paint job had terrible prep work - streaks and sanding marks in many places. Dent repair is also sub -standard. They did redo the parts that were really bad but even that was not properly prepped. The overall paint job has orange peal everywhere. This is the only time I have had a vehicle painted where people stop and say what a terrible paint job on my truck. I always tell them that it was done by Maaco. I bought the paint with the 3 year warranty - I was told that the orange peal was because I did not use two step paint. I have had several paint shops tell me that the problem was with the painter not the paint. This makes sense because the inside of the tail gate does not have orange peal. DONT GO TO MAACO

Absolutely the worst. My lights after they were done refinishing look just as bad as when I dropped them off. No difference. The process took 15 minutes to refinish them and it shows. They were not that bad to begin with I just wanted them better looking. Macco is not the place to get your headlights refinished. Please take your car somewhere else. You will thank me later. You will be wasting time and money taking it here.

Maaco replaced my rear bumper. This is the second vehicle they parted. I am very satisfied with their work. My bumper was done in a day. The color applied was perfect. Their price was 30% less than other body shops I estimated. I highly recommend Maaco Collision, they provide great service.

Maaco collision repair in Hayward did a marvelous paint job on my 1999 Toyota Camry. They did what I wanted without trying to get me to do more. The price was very fair and was done quickly without delay. The staff was so pleasant to deal with. Thank you

I went in to have my headlight lenses cleaned up. They were in better shape when I left, but the guy took no more than 15 or 20 minutes to do it and they were not in nearly as good a shape as the previous time I had had them done with another company.

Absolutely Over Priced and Terrible paint job. There are bubles, over spray (from running paint) and areas where they completely missed. They never called me when the job was done and the way they stored my parts did damage to them. Stay away.

Very good. My car got into an accident. The front end was gone. I got my car back today. It looks like new. I love it! Great customer service and quality work. Best price in town.
