They keep sending my mail back. Now I am without a drivers license (the DMV said the post office returned my license because Im supposedly not living at my address anymore) and now my employer just informed me that my paycheck was returned. Not a good thing if you are planning to vacation out of the country and are without a valid license and now without a paycheck. Last year, I temporarily had my address changed to my brothers in another state for one month. When I returned, I made sure it was changed back to my current one here, however, the post office here could never get it right. I had to continually go in there (of course, wait in a long line) only to be told they have my address listed as my brothers. I filled out the necessary paperwork, each time, to make sure they stopped sending my mail to my brothers and they never got it right. Each time someone said, Oh, I thought you wanted it to be sent to your brothers!"). Is there a failure to communicate here? Now, they are sending extremely important mail back to the sender (a drivers license and a persons paycheck). I tried to contact them and they never answer the phone. I now have to email the USPS at their website, and I am currently on hold (for at least "31 to 55 minutes") with the USPS customer service. I also have to go to the DMV again, wait (and wait) just to get another temporary one so I can go out of town. This is really unacceptable. Examples like this support complete privatization of the post office, DMV, etc. This way, several different entities (not just one) will go out of their way to make sure you choose them to service your mail, with the best possible customer service available because if they didnt treat you right, you could go to another business that will handle your mail for you. I bet you would always get your mail on time, and if you ever had to go in and wait in line, you would get free coffee and donuts and the utmost friendliest and quickest service.

Do you like fast, reliable, amazing mail service? Well look more further, far far away from this place! There is so many problems with this place I cant even begin. From the bottom of the infrastructure to the top! First of all, mailman. He get sick of our parking spots in our OWN house where we are authorized to park and says if you leave you car here, I wont deliver to you. Uh no, Im not going to go through the trouble of parking a mile away from my house just so you can be lazy and drive by deliver, no sir, you can get out and deliver like every other mailman. Oh heres another fun story, I waited all day for my package that needed to be signed for to be delivered and they had the audacity to not even knock but put a we missed you slip in my mailbox without even trying to attempt a delivery! Second, Why do they even have a phone number? This IDIOT, yes I mean IDIOT automated message sucks big donkey droppings! Even if you clearly say no, it says uh deeeeerp what did you say duuuuuuuur. Machines are supposed to be easier to navigate with, this is seriously worse! After 15 minutes talking to this broken machine, I get put on hold, to no ones surprise, 50 MINUTE WAIT TIME. What kind of communications they have, PIGEON CARRIER?! So Im like lets go out and go there directly. I get there and guess what? There is no one there, like no customers!!!!!! I get my item which i requested 5 TIMES to get redelivered and its just sitting in the back. Thanks USPS, youve made me realize I should flush my tax return down the toilet because at least that way , in someway it will fertilize food, that would actually be useful instead of this incompetent group of snail mail.

If I could give a 1/4 star I would. Have used the C Street Post Office a few times - the middle age man, possibly a manager? (God help us all) is a nightmare. Pretends to be doing his job and is really just giving people a hard time. And before I ever had an issue with him, I noticed him interacting with other customers. For example, an older man sending a package to Taiwan, obviously an English-language learner with limited fluency. This guy starts rapid fire asking him: "priority? international express? express 2 day or priority 1 1/2 days with limited liability???" Yeah, Im making up the terms...but thats what it sounded like to me & thats obviously what it sounded like to the poor guy. AND when he saw the guy had no idea...he just repeated his questions in a more loud voice....yes, it slowed the line down for all of us...but it also humiliated this man, he was clearly embarrassed & just wanted out of there. Have seen this kind of thing b4....you need seniority to get an inside job & by the time they get in there they have learned to HATE their jobs & they take it out on us. When USPS whines about going bankrupt my feeling is always no @#!! - you havent substantively changed mail processing since the Pony Express...and you wonder why youre inefficient, cost-bloated, and widely disliked????". Thanks for listening (other posters...the USPS wont read this or give a d-mn it they do!)

I have been trying to reach a person on the phone to make a verbal confirmation that the package is present at that location before I attempt to try to make my way there during my short lunch break. It had a bad address from the shipper and they advised that the package should still be at my local post office. I really wanted to verbally confirm this information since there is limited information on the tracking on the web at this time since it was a bad address. I tried calling yesterday 7/29 around 3pm till 5pm at random times and received no answer, just a few times I got a vcml loop of products and services from USPS, it doesnt even confirm you will speak with a representative. I again tried calling this morning 7/30 to confirm again, this time 9am when the office opens. Still no answer after holding 13mins and the same looping of products and services from USPS, and you cannot leave a msg since the mailbox is full. This is one of the reasons customers arent using USPS, customer service needs to be addressed. Im not going to be happy if I rush to the location during my lunch since I work 8-5pm and would not make it in time after work, and my package would not be there. It would really help to confirm with a live person in this sort of situation to alleviate stress and confusion.

I sent out my federal and state taxes last year here with return receipt of mailing and certification of mail. IT NEVER ARRIVED. So long story short, I finally settled things with both agencies. They explained to me that this was a rare occurence and that it shouldnt happen again. So I figure, okay, this was just a one time fluke. So this year, I figured that it would be okay that I do the same and go back to the Hayward post office, get my federal and state taxes sent out there again. (Especially, since I live only two blocks from the place.) And it happened again!!! My state and federal taxes DID NOT ARRIVE and Im going through this whole mess again. Since this most recent occurence I now go to the Hesperian or Merced post office in San Lorenzo or San Leandro and make it a point to drive 15-20mins to get to those offices. I have not had a problem at those locations. IF YOU WANT YOUR MAIL TO GET TO ITS DESTINATION, DO NOT SEND IT OUT FROM HAYWARD!
