My mother was taken here and the mortuary was provided with a current photo . . . . . only to find that on her viewing day she had been painted Mexican Dark Brown instead of snow white as her photo showed her ! . . . . I was in total shock when I saw this and was about to confront MCCormick Senior when my family suggested I not make an issue out of this . . . . I took my mothers death very hard and was not able to really deal with this and ended up calling the mortuary after the funeral and informed McCormick Senior what they had done and they told me they would look into it . . . . several days later I called them back after not receiving a call from them and was told they had not done that . . . . period ! I told them I expected some sort of adjustment and expected them to respond with a reasonable offer . . . . . at the same time Oswald Memorials got a photo to produce a photographic image in color of my mom on her headstone they failed to do it because they mixed up her photo with someone else ! . . . . . my nieces came running crying that another woman had taken their Grandmas name on her headstone . . .. . I contacted Oswalds and they immediately began to make another headstone and refunded the full amount of the stone which I had not expected but certainly ACCEPTED . . . . . good business sense certainly fair . . . . ethical in any case I recommend OSWALD MEMORIALS FOR THEIR SERVICES . . . . . mistake and all . . . . but MCCORMICKS not at all . . . . . they didnt care that they had made such a mistake and would not own up to it . . . . no business ethics ........ they never even offered a we are so Sorry . . . . they figured it would become a major law suit and I would have to exhume my mother to prove it ! . . . . . . seriously do want to use these people to take care of your loved one . . . . makes you wonder what other things are they are doing that maybe skirting the law ! . . . . and so I continue to post my experience with MCCORMICKS MORTUARY in hopes that I may help someone else from these people who I now call . . . . PHANTASM MORTUARY THEY HAVE QUITE A LIKENESS ! . . . . FOR ADDITIONAL INFO REFER TO " YELP " UNDER MCCORMICK MORTUARY . . . . . JONRICK. . .. . CONSUMER ADVOCATE . . . . . 12/ 2014

I called McCormick & Son first just to inquire about what would be involved in burying my son. I spoke with Joal and mentioned that I would be meeting with Fairhaven first since my parents were buried there. He patiently answered my questions and said to call him back if I had still any questions after meeting with Fairhaven. I was very disappointed in how cold Fairhaven was, their prices, and the fact that they couldnt arrange the burial on the date we preferred. I called Joal back and he was able to arrange everything from prepping my sons body for burial, recommending El Toro Memorial Park for his burial site, and most importantly arranging the ceremony and burial on the date we preferred. The ceremony and burial were very beautiful and it really helped having Joal and the McCormick staff take care of everything, including the grave marker. Joal was a godsend and I would recommend this mortuary to anyone needing to bury a loved one.

My father passed away in January after a brief illness. His passing wasnt really expected so I had to scramble to get things done. My father was a retired Marine and qualified for Veterans benefits and burial in a National Cemetery. I saw on McCormicks website that they were familiar with the process so I gave them a call. I initially spoke with Joel and he was fantastic to deal with. He took the time to answer all my questions even though I was a little scatter-brained at the time. The next day I went into the mortuary with my mother and we spoke with Rebecca McCormick. She was polite, understanding and caring through the entire process which went off seamlessly. Quite frankly it was easier, smoother and less expensive that I had expected. I highly recommend their services.

THANK YOU! My mother passed a month and half ago. After calling around to different funeral homes the only one that took the time to explain and walk me through the process was the people at McCormicks. The experience of losing your mother is hard enough. Thank you for taking the time with my son and myself, thank you for the beautiful job on my mom’s service and her appearance, and thank you for following through making sure everything went smoothly. I appreciated the fact everything was explained and followed up to the tee. I could not do what these people have to do. (They are always the bad guys when you lose someone you love) But put in the situation again I would use them as well as tell others to do the same.

Mortuary is fine. Location shown north of El Toro Road is wrong! It is south of El Toro on west side!
