I was reluctant about going to an "unmanned" kiosk on their premises to rent a storage unit. The kiosk is not really unmanned but attended by an off-site employee who has control over the computer in the kiosk. The person who helped me at the kiosk was super friendly and so nice as I stumbled about trying to figure out how it worked. Everything was computerized and automatic, including a lock set that dropped out like it was an ATM machine. The forms, pass codes and all the other information I needed was verbally given to me, printed in front of me to take and later emailed to me. Extremely impressive. I am generally not a fan of full automation because of the lost human contact. Not so here. I felt I had better customer service on the phone and through this kiosk than a lot of businesses. Even the two groundskeepers/cleaning staff were helpful and friendly. Great job, A-1. This world needs more customer service and efficiency like this!

This is my 2nd time having a storage unit, so when I decided to use A1 I was NOT disappointed. Maricela was extremely helpful. She went through all the paperwork with me (which is great - that way there is nothing missed). All was good when I left that day. A few days later I realized I needed a bigger unit and Maricela was happy to help me with that. Told me to come on by and let me know the hours they were opened. Upon arriving she had the new paperwork ready for me just needed to sign a few sheets. One day she helped me outside with paying my rent on the computer (she had heard me talking back to the computer about not working for me). I have been there a month now and every time I see her she has a warm smile. I feel safe at that location and the units are very clean as well as the property. Thank you

My first experience at A-1 Self Storage was a very good one. I was representing my company from the East Coast. I had never rented space in self storage. I was under a tight time schedule and Maricela Ruiz was very clear, effective and thorough in walking me through all the key elements of the space we were looking to rent. She explained all the pertinent details and I appreciated her honesty and transparency as I asked about the potential for theft and or damage to articles in the storge unit. I left with a peace and confidence knowing that this storage location was the right one to support our business results. I credit Maricela in doing a fine job representing her company as a key factor in this positive business experience.

This place is great. Its clean, well lit and they have the best access hours. Billy is wonderful! He takes the time to work with you and he always finds solutions to any issues you may have. This is my boyfriends and my third time coming back to this place because its the best storage facility in all of OC! I currently have three units there and everytime I had to ask Billy for his help getting the best rate, he always gives me a list of different options and lets me see which works best for me in terms of keeping costs reasonable! Its good, hard working people like Billy that really make customers happy to come back year after year to A-1!

WATCH OUT!!!. They will say you have a reserved unit and when you drive in there to pay it will be gone and they will try to upsell you to a bigger unit and more $. It happened twice in 3 weeks and then when you call to verify your reservation they will be rude and hang up on you. Plus the girl behind the counter is very snotty. I guess they dont need to care about customer service and are rude because they make minimum wage. I had the absolute worst experience with this place and would never refer them to people I care about. BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES!!STAY AWAY!!

My experience of A-1 Self Storage has been very wonderful. The staff are very accommodating. And Ive had an excellent experience with the Site Manager -Billy- Who is very professional, helpful, kind and always accommodated me with all my Storage needs. Under his supervision, this facility runs very smoothly and I am very grateful to him for that. I have used this storage for the past four years and I find Their prices very reasonable for the type of facility and the service they provide. I highly recommend them.

Compared to experiences at other storage units Ive had over the years, A-1 Self Storage is right up there with the best of them. The facility is clean, secure, and well maintained with great access hours.. but the best feature apart from the very competitive pricing is the amazing service. Maricela Ruiz was the representative at the facility today; she proved to be very professional, friendly, accommodating and efficient. Definitely would recommend this facility to anyone in the Lake Forest area!

Ive utilized A-1 Self Storage for about 6 years now (since it was previously known as Forest Ridge Self Storage). The proximity to my house was initially most important to my choosing a storage facility, but the excellent customer service Ive received, especially from Maricela Ruiz, will ensure that Im a customer as long as I have storage needs. She has been most helpful recently as my storage needs have grown, and is always willing to help out with any question or issue that I may have.

I had a great experience at A-1 storage in Lake Forest. It was easy, convenient & reasonable with pricing. When I no longer needed my unit due to moving, the cancellation process was very simple. We came across one issue with it but it was dealt with immediately and I received a credit a few days later. Billy is so friendly & understanding. I definitely recommend A-1 Storage in Lake Forest to everyone!

Maricela is always cheerful on the phone or in person. A number of times she has asked if she could call back with a response and did so at the time she indicated we would receive the call. She elevates the spirit of anyone that she encounters. We rented a second unit at another A-1 facility and have recommended the company to others because of her uplifting and professional attitude and manner.

I found it to be a very clean facility. Inside was neat and had very good climate control. I felt my belongings were always safe and secure. I think the only small problem I had was that I always had to step out of my car to type in the gate code to drive in. I thought the key pad was too close to the gate and was a little out of position. Staff was always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

The location is very clean and secure, but the best part of the process was working with Billy. He was very thorough and sincere. He took the time to answer all my questions and find the best unit for my needs. The prices are great too! Having to store stuff is always annoying, but a lot of us have to do it, and Billy made the process as easy as possible. Thanks!

I have just combined my two /storage units this week for a larger unit . The people at the counter and on the phone were very helpful and made the change painless.
