Mike saved my life. My other mechanic said that I had a minor transmission leak and I could drive on it for at least 6 months and be fine. I knew that was not accurate so I took it over to Mike and come to find out that not only did it have several leaks but the pressure was bad and all kinds of things were wrong. I basically needed a new transmission. CRAP! I couldnt afford a new transmission and Mike and Carlton went over some different options. I went with the first option and I have to say that Mike was honest, straightforward, knowledgeable, and courteous. Not only that he totally worked with me and my situation. They fixed my transmission and pointed out some other issues that I have to take back to my other mechanic that need to be fixed because they are under warranty. And to top it all off, they are TOTALLY concerned about their customer sanctification. They were honest, through, and well I just cant say enough. When I went to pick up my car they waited to show me what they did, gave me a detailed invoice, and because I got their late stayed past the time they closed to give me some information regarding the rules and requirements of mechanics for when I go back to my other mechanic. I would recommend them to EVERYONE. Thank you MIKE, RICHARD, and CARLTON, you guys totally saved life and the life of the people I drive.

Had a weird font end lurching and grinding vibration when doing a downhill sharp turn in my Passat Wagon in San Pedro this week. The Aamco in Dana Point had rebuilt the transmission and installed a new transfer case but the same pre-new transmission transfer case repair issue happened once again. They told me to take it to the Aamco on South Street ASAP. Met Mike and we went for a very long test drive. He was super courteous and must have spent 20 minutes driving the car with me. I have never had any mechanic spend so much time in the car with me trying to find the problem. Unfortunately, that exact same downhill hairpin turn doing 30 mph could not be duplicated but Mike was awesome and helped me the best he could. If I did not live 60 miles away, I would most definitely bring my car there everytime.

Just a short note to Rich and Mike and your awesome crew! Not many people look forward to taking their automobile in to be fixed and you could put me at the top of the list,forsure. Boy, was I wrong! You guys treated me like I was the only person that needed help and made sure I was Completely taken care of. I honestly feel that you all went out of your way for me but somehow feel sure this is standard practice at your location. I honestly couldnt wait to drive my car this morning knowing that I was completely safe and that dark cloud over my head was finally gone! Ive been telling everybody at work how great your place is and how conscience you all are! You have a new customer for life!

I brought my 1997 Ford F-150 To Richard and the guys.Truck was not shifting correctly.They did a outstanding job on rebuilding my transmission.I took it back because I thought it was having problems again.Richard and the guys took the truck back with no problem.They troubleshoot the problem as an electric problem.Not only did they look at the truck again at no charge.Richard and the guys gave me information ware to take the truck for my electric issue.I will be bring all my cars to there shop for transmissions problems if I start having problems.I strongly recommend their service to anyone.

Mike and Richard were a BIG help to me! I travel, a LOT, and was passing through Los Angeles. My transmission developed a major leak in my truck, and needed to be resealed. I was given a ride to the mall to wait until my hotel would allow me to check in, a ride back to the shop to get my things, and a ride to/from the hotel. Mike and Richard did exactly what they said they would, for the VERY competitive price they said they would, no surprises. AND no more leaks! I would strongly recommend their service to anyone! Eric

I was considering buying a truck. The transmission sounded rough to me so I wanted a second opinion. Found AAMCO Transmission through an online search and headed over there. They did a thorough inspection and gave the truck a clean bill of health and said that it would need new brakes in the future, but the need wasn’t immediate. These guys seemed very confident in their area of expertise and were very personable. Id say if youre in the area and need work done, this is the place to be.

I wanted to thank AAMCO of Long Beach for the splendid work they did on my Ford Ranger! Before I came to your shop I had firmly believed that the Ranger transmission was at fault. But boy was I wrong! Your ability and super diagnostics showed it to be an intermittent short in the wiring. Well, you guys certainly fixed that and more. My wife and I just want to thank you for your courtesy and your concern when our Ford Victoria’s transmission had trouble while we were in Long Beach on the 3rd of this month. We didn’t know where to turn when we were on our way back to our home in Bakersfield and our car just quit on the freeway. I have been a mechanic for 7 years and am really thorough when it comes to my work but I am not familiar with jeep transmissions and these guys really help me out fully explained everything to me what is necessary and not and even worked on my budget. I dont write reveiws verry often but these guys deserved it! Great shop to trust with your car!

I was having a problem with my car and transmission and i went to aamco and i was like damn dude i dont know whats wrong with my transmission i didnt know if it was slipping needed service or replacment, wheni pulled up to aamco the customer service was outstanding they listen and the priceing was great.

we had out chrysler 300m brake down off the 405 freeway tues , we our up, visiting from san diego , the aamco on south st. got me and my husband on the rode the next day . it was a suprise party for my mother !!!, mike and the gang at aamco were great!!!

My experience was the same: the info aI received was not accurate, and the proposed procedure would have left me at their mercy to charge whatever they wanted. If you dont know anything about cars, you will end up paying through the nose here. If you do, you will SAVE YOUR MONEY: GO ELSEWHERE!!
