They are not Barbers! They are gardeners. I went for my haircut along with my son. They charged $18 per person including kids. I paid $36 total by check. Their do not accepts credit/debit cards. The gardener (not barber) did my hair cut in just two mins when I have already told him that I would like to have my hair comb in the same fashion as it is. He does not know which side hair to cut small and which side to leave it as is. The other gardener was not able to do haircut to my son (5yr old). He is repeatedly (3 times) asking to windup. He himself not sure which part is done and which is still pending. It was my bad luck as I did not look around for other shops and was badly served here. I will NEVER EVER go there again.

Good haircut, he did what I asked, and the conversation was sufficiently low-key (Im not a talker in the barbers chair). Classic old-school ambiance. Id have considered 5 stars, but the neck was done with a clipper instead of warm lather and a straight razor - the straight razor does a better job and stays tighter longer. That said, the clipper he used on my neck had a hose vacuuming away the hair, which was great as I was in my office clothes, so that was a small plus.

Great place for an affordable haircut in Los Altos. A lot of pleasant fellas running the shop: they really take the time to do the job and there isnt too much waiting. Be careful to look at the sign, because theres another hair place, a womens salon, in the same outlet. You want The Barber Stylist.

The worst haircut I have gotten without a doubt. Classic example of a barbershop run by an older generation unwilling to learn or adapt to new styles and haircuts. Avoid this place, its worth paying $10 more at some other place as this is already overpriced at $21.

My barber left several short patches in my hair. I came with a picture and tried to explain what I wanted, but he didnt listen and gave me a fade I didnt ask for. Very nice people, but I wont be returning.

I actually got a decent haircut here but everything about the experience leads me to feel like it was more luck than anything else. A bit of a surreal visit. Left a bit wild-eyed.
