The worst service I have ever received, hands-down. I took my laptop in because it was shutting off randomly. He told me it would be 2-3 days to diagnose and fix the problem, but that he could "rush" the work for me since I said I was in a hurry to get it back. After waiting a WEEK, I returned to his business to ask him about the job. He refused to even come to the door and talk to me, which is extremely rude. He used his intercom to tell me the laptop wasnt ready. When I asked if I could see my computer, he refused, saying through the intercom that I couldnt see my own property until he was done with it. I had to walk away from his closed door. That is no way to treat any customer, especially one you misled about the length of the job. When I finally got the computer back and paid $130, I realized the left internal speaker would not play audio. I told him this, and he told me it would be another 2-3 days to look at it, because he is "backed up." Another sign of how unprofessional he is, since a professional would drop everything and make fixing the bad job he created for a paying customer a top priority. Soon after this, the laptop began shutting off on its own again, which means he didnt fix the problem I had paid him and waited a week to fix. When I opened the computer up, I realized another problem: one of the sockets which holds the screen to the frame was completely missing! This sort of thing poses a significant risk of cracking and breaking the computer frame when opening the lid, which could cost hundreds to replace. I called him with these complaints, and told him I would like a full refund and would not be returning the computer to him. His exact words to me were "well, screw you then!" and he hung up on me. I was in shock. Unprofessional, rude, incompetent, slow... Stay away from this guy, he has no idea how to run a business properly and will cheat you of your money if given the chance.

This guy is a joke and a thief! I took my lap top in because I noticed my charger plug was not making a good connection with the input and it was making it impossible to charge. I tried buying a new charger and the problem persisted therefore I figured the problem was my charger input. First off this man works out of his home ( I did not realize this untill I googled the address and was parked infront of his home) you have to walk through his house to get to the back room where he has all his equipment. Being a woman and going alone made me feel very uncomfortale. I told him what I believed the problem was and he said he would fix it. A couple days later he calls me to tell me he could not figure out what was wrong with it unless he completely pulled my lap top apart, and even if he did he still might not be able to fix it and it was going to cost me a lot of money. This was a lose-lose situation so I told him I would go pick it up as soon as possible. When I arrived to pick it up he told me my total was $40. I was confused, I asked him why and he replied that it was the flat rate diagnostic fee. I told him he did not have a diagnostic for me or else I would have had him fix my lap top! I never asked for a diagnostic I asked for my lap top to be fixed! Plus he didnt even know what the problem was THERE WAS NO DIGNOSTIC MADE!! Furious I told him I would have to get my purse from my car since I wasnt expecting to pay I had not brought it down with me, he then proceeded to forcefully take my lap top out of my hands and told me he would give it to me when I came back with the money! I was so insulted, offended and disgusted with this man! Who does he think he is to forcefully take what is mine out of my hands and to imply that I would not be a woman of my word! That is not a way to treat a customer specially not a lady! Needless to say I would NEVER return or recommend anyone to go to this swindler!

Beware of this rip off! Read Yelp reviews! If you have a problem dont give him the $69 when he rips you off go to consumer affairs to get your computer back. Had a blue screen, he said no charge unless he fixed it. Called me a week later said it would be $159 for a new hard drive. Asked for my computer back said it would be $69... Said you didnt fix it, said that he was able to there fore had to pay and advised I signed paperwork saying so. Con artist! All he did was unscrew the computer did no work. He knew from the get go what he was going to do. ***read Yelp reviews wish I would have before giving him the cash would have done like another customer and went through consumer affairs. Going to report him to them and better business bureau and file small claims, just to keep others from being ripped off!!! It was suppose to be a rush and I didnt hear back from him called him 6 days later and thats what he told me. Took another week to put the screws back on. He talks to you from a speaker at his front door, very rude person when you have a problem, but when you call asking about his service is very nice and says it wont cost you unless he fixes it. You expect to pay the flat $69 and then says he can fix it but its more money.

This man is trying to rip you off... DO NOT GO TO HIM... he is worse than the reputation a mechanic would get... I brought him two computers to work on and every time the price increased to the exact same amount, but for different issues.. he keeps saying he wont cheat me, but doesnt fix the problem.. when I called to get the problem fixed he kept telling me that he didnt want to hear me ramble and eventually hung up on me... I will be filing a small claims case against him.. he says he pit on antivirus, but my computer keeps asking me to enter a registration code, which means it wasnt downloaded properly... BEWARE THIS MAN HAS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AT ALL.. do not be fooled...

It isnt a flat rate he wanted to charge my daughter $80 he told that same day would be fixed she wanted to install anti votes he would not return her calls for 2 days. He finally called het back wanted even more money I had het mom go get the computer from him he held it for ran some wounded give it back I offered him $50 even though he didnt fix it to give it back he would not had to call cops well 8 got computer back cost me $50 and the bastetd erase the brain of the computer so now u have an empty shell

I can understand the reason for the very good reviews theyve received, Flatrate computer repair in modesto is one of the best companies Ive had the pleasure of dealing with. They completely refurbished my laptop (the laptop had multiple problems). Their competence and professionalism is why I keep coming back.
