Amazingly upfront, honest and thorough service here. And money saving! Took a laptop with a dead system board. Matt (thats the guy who runs the place) told me that it could be fixed but only if he could find the part in NEW condition. He was honest and told me he could locate refurbished parts but that the fix would then be temporary and the problem would return. As it was, he was unable to fix it as he wanted, BUT he invesigated with HP and found out my laptop did in fact have an active warranty (Costco had already told me my laptop was past their protection period and past manufactures warranty). Ultimately sent laptop to HP and problem was fixed for free under warranty. AND Matt also pulled all my files from the dead laptop onto an external drive (took him a few days because of the massive size of files), and insisted on only a $** dollar charge. Ive had a similar file recovery job done before (it cost me hundreds!).

I only go to these guys for all my computer repairs because I trust them. My first encounter with them was when they showed me a little trick how to fix a small problem myself as home every time that problem would happen. They did not charge me anything and that was a pleasant surprise. I immediately became a loyal customer. When I dropped my computer and scratched the hard drive, Monterey Computer Repair did my diagnostics for free, explained in simple terms what needed to be done, and gave me the best price possible on installing a new hard drive. They even mailed it for me to another place that does a complicated job of saving files from a scratched hard drive. I can always count on these guys honesty and efficient service!

My wife accidently dropped her iphone and the screen broke! She was devistated and crying because we could not afford to replace the screen. I found matt at monterey computer repair online and called him. To my shocking amazement he said, I can fix that no problem! Matt saved me $175.00 dollars it only cost me $65.00 bucks to fix my wifes iphone. I was blown away i wanted to give him a huge kiss, he declined and settled for a hand shake.Matt you are the best! I cant thank you enough. You will receive all of my busness for now on. I can not tell all of you how much Matt means to me as a young busness owner. Last Sunday I was working on a project when my computer suddenly decided to break down on me. I panicked thinking I will miss my deadline. I called Yippie computers at first (not sure why I even bothered). After couple of hours, 100$ later and having a faint idea of whats wrong with it, I finally called Matt on Monday. He stayed after hours in his office until my computer was ready for me to pick up. Thats what I call an outstanding service!!! The rates are very, very affordable! Matt also fixed my Iphone screen which took him no more than 30 min. Dont even think twice about looking somewhere else for all your computer issues and Iphone repairs. I also recommended this company to all of my friends!!!

I had used them a couple of times for iPhone/iPad screen repair which has been great, they have been able to repair the screens very well even when the iPad body had been dented, they worked quickly and efficiently. My most recent interaction was the best though - they were able to successfully extract my most important data from a failed external HD - 15 years of digital pictures which span the life of my 3 children - and get it into a new HD. I was very worried about the data and it was clear they had to work hard to complete the job, trying multiple, time consuming methods before they were able to do it. So Im grateful for their assistance and highly recommend their services!

When my external hard drive was wiped of valuable files, I found Monterey Computer Repair online. Impressive communication (4 status updates, easy on the phone). Great, fair pricing. An audio jack broke off in the outlet of my laptop. Geek Squad said it would be 2-6 weeks to fix and needed a new motherboard. No way! I found Monterey Computer Repair by accident because anothe local store had moved, and I mean by accident - another woman was at the closed store at the same time and mentioned this place on Del Monte Avenue. Matt not only knew how to fix this, he did it in less that 30 minutes for an extremely low cost. They saved the day - fan for life! We have Apple products too, so were covered. Everyone should know about this gem of a LOCAL computer repair and service! Five stars!

This place is awesome! My computer was acting all funky and Matt was able to locate the problem and fix it quickly and at a VERY reasonable price. The guy is friendlier than you could believe, gets the job done (fast and efficient), and has my business for life. *Edit: Again my computer was acting up and I had no idea why, and again Matt did a FANTASTIC job of getting everything running perfectly. I dont know why anyone would go anywhere else for computer repair. He does phones too, so I dont know why anyone would go anywhere else for phone repair.

My PC had boot issues with no display after the initial bios boot screen. I was sure the graphics card had fried. They discovered that the bios boot process had somehow became corrupted. They put the bios boot where it needed to be and restored operation. Since this was done during the free diagnosis, they did not charge me for the repair. So effectively I got a free repair. That is an impossible thing to have happen at the Geek Squad or Staples so called computer repair. 5 stars all the way.
