I think a lot of these reviews must be planted. In my opinion, these guys are incompetent crooks. I took my RV there for evaluation of a transmission shifting problem. I went for a bagel while they did their $115 evaluation. I had about 2 bites into the bagel when I got a call to tell me they were done. Huh? All 15 evaluation points done in 10 minutes? They said its a C40d, has no external inputs and the overdrive is not engaging. They gave me a verbal estimate (not written) that would be between $4000 and $5000 to replace it. Guess which end of that scale they would have ended up at. I felt uncomfortable with the quick decision, lack of knowledge, the glib attitude, the failure to admit to or test vacuum input, and the fact that they had re-installed the engine cover incorrectly and left. My transmission is a C6. It doesnt have an overdrive. Either they mis-identified it, or they dont know the difference. Later they refused to return the "evaluation fee" despite getting the transmission type wrong. Either way I wouldnt trust them to fix a roller skate. My C6 transmission was replaced with a Jasper at Specialist Auto in Watsonville for $2300. If youre thinking of going to margan hill aamco, do yourself a favor - go somewhere else. Anywhere else!
I called on a Saturday to make sure that they were open. When I spoke to the receptionist she informed me that they would be open until noon. I took my Toyota PU in and explained the simtoms to the technician. He informed me that they would be closing at noon and would not be able to work on it until Monday. He said that I could leave the truck if I wanted to. I agreed to leave it and filled out the work order. As I was leaving I realized that they had moved the truck into their garage. I was glad that it wouldnt have to stay outside Bover the weekend. On Monday Bob called to give me an update on their diagnosis of the problem and the cost to correct it. I approved the repairs. On Wednesday Bob called to let me know that my truck was ready to go. I asked how late they would be opened. Bob said that they closed at 5:00pm. I said that I couldnt get there until 6:00. Bob came up with a plan for me to get my truck at 6:00, and I agreed to it. I picked up the truck and drove it home. On the way I was extremely happy with the way the truck ran and with the service, the constant updates, and the flexibility that Bob provided for me. They are very easy to do business with.
As the other reviewer I think those five star reviews are planted ,I dont think anybody can give this guys a five star review ,their incompetent and they will make things up to make you spend money , I recently bought the truck and took it for $85 review they end up saying that were not sure about the problem that they have to open it and see if they find something else ,I end up spending $257 and there was nothing wrong with it, I even talk to their corporate office and they couldnt do anything about it ,I talk to the owner and same thing he didnt do anything about it , so if youre taking your car to this place make sure they are going to make something up to take your money !!
I worked directly with Rommel and the team. I trust them, and believe the quality of work and the professional services are top notch. I had extensive work done to my truck before taking it coast to coast on a flawless road trip. The labor prices are slightly hire than average, but the service is exceptional and the corporate warranty is priceless. Why try and save a few dollars at a local mechanic and then find yourself stuck out of state and broken down. The team in Morgan Hill will take the time to show you what needs replacing, things that can wait and help you prioritize based on your own time and budget. I was always leery in the past to take my vehicle to a Transmission shop because of all the horror stories that my friends have experienced with their cars. Mark and his team at AAMCO proved this myth wrong!! They helped me more than I could have ever thought possible from having my car towed at no charge to me, doing a free inspection of my car to find the problems and giving me many options for fixing my car WITHOUT THE COMMON DAY CLOSING PRESSURE!!!!. Honest folks that will work with you, I highly recommend them!!!!
Had some problems with my transmission on my 97 Dogde Ram. It wouldnt shift right and I needed to be at work that day or I would have lsot the job. Rich got me in right away, first thing. After a little bit they came out and told me that the cable had come out of the transmission and it just needed to be plugged back in. They fixed it at no charge!! What a great team! I will definitely be coming back!

Very trustworthy mechanics. I used to do all my work myself but ever since I had rommels guys rebuild my transmission and transfer case I dont hesitate to bring any of my cars or reletives cars there. Great work everytime.
