My 1962 Chrysler had a worn out steering box which they removed it, had it rebuilt and reinstalled it. This tied up a a part of their shop for a week or so.Not many shops want to make the sacrifice of floor space for that long for an old car. It is also difficult to find a place with such professionals who reassembled everything as it was supposed to be, and it worked perfectly. They quickly found an emergency brake problem I had and fixed that. Having an old car, it is hard to find a shop which looks for what is best for the car instead of what is beast for their bottom line. I sincerely appreciate the interest they take in getting my repairs down right.

Normally I do not post a review. This is the one new comer have to avoid. I have one time got car accident. there were not much choices, and I lived far away so I chose them. They initially estimated 3 weeks to finish with already expensive price, then after 3 weeks when I called back they said it was in the middle of procedure and could not finish, then another two weeks and asked more for labor. But finally my car could not run well, and the check engine light still on, I had to throw it away. They may be good to local people for small cases, keep smiling.

Weve used Country Automotive for everything from LOF changes to replacing a transmission. Smitty is knowledgeable, thorough and the work is good. When theres been an intermittent or a subtle problem, theyve gone through the necessary steps to make it right quickly. Weve taken vehicles from a Boxster to a 15,000lb flatbed and other than limitations on lift capacity for the flatbed, theyve handled everything. Smitty will cheerfully suggest when the dealer is a better solution, for example on the Mercedes Diesel.

Ive often read these reviews, but have never written one. Heres the exception: These guys are great. Why? Quality. Quality attention to customers and quality workmanship. Im no pro, but have wrenched on lots of cars... fuel systems, drive systems, trannies. Normally, I work on my vehicles. Lately ive been out of country more than in - I need somebody i can trust. These guys are straight-up. Hope youre experience is like mine. Regards, Bob

Weve used Country Automotive for 20 years - multiple cars (we keep them a long time). Smitty is always professional and always gives his honest opinion including when not to waste my money. They strive for customer satisfaction and successfully build long term relationships. Ive taken my 76 Dodge van, my 89 Saleen, and my 99 Jaguar - all are handled with attention to detail. Dont be afraid to take your car there.

My "check engine" light came on, so instead of getting ripped off by my dealership, I headed over to Country Automotive. Despite being extremely busy, David came out and hooked up the reader to my vehicle immediately and explained to me that the problem wasnt really a problem at all. No charge at all, and he walked away just saying to bring it back if it comes up again. I was literally in and out within 5 minutes.

I am Very satisfied! Have taken three of my classic Chevy 60s and 70s cars there and all regular maintenance and noted problems are diagnosed properly and fixed. Nothing is done until I approve it over the phone. Very trustworthy, competent and friendly. I am a woman, so this means a lot to me to be treated well. Only the best for my cars and Country Auto mechanics are the best. Thanks Gentlemen! Mrs. J.N.

Customer service is the best. Very attentive to my needs in repairing my car in a timely and efficient manner. Smitty and his staff communicated what needed to be completed, how they were going to do it, and were accurate in their pricing and evaluation. Can I give them a bonus star? Glad I found a mechanic and business that is reputable and a pleasure doing business with in Morgan Hill.
