If you have a European car absolutely do not service it here. These guys dont know what there doing and somehow managed to break my air conditioning when I went in for a radiator replacement. I went in to replace a genuine part but the micheal(owner) decides its absolutely okay to toss in an OEM part which is not the same as a genuine part. (I have some knowledge in auto terminology). Mind you I paid $400 bucks for the genuine part. He is so arrogant ,rude and threw a tantrum in front of the other customers in his shop. Micheal is absolutely beligerant. Just to give you an idea oh how insane this guy is he stated he has a PhD in auto mechanic and he has more money than you when he assumed I could not understand English. On the contrary I have completed both my doctorate and baccelaurate. Do service with him at your own risk. Your bound to get ripped off.

Van broke down while more than 1000 miles from home. Monterey auto was helpful but took way longer than expected, as in a week longer. Had the engine rebuilt on my van here. A $3800 job, the van broke down again 150 miles down the road because of a mistake in the rebuild. Monterey Auto made very little effort to remedy the situation and said that I was on my own since we were already 150 miles away. I would not recommend bringing your vehicle here at all!

Where should I start? The owner is extremely hostile and will milk you dry if you are not mechanically savvy. Always get a second opinion. Oh, did I mention that they installed low quality auto parts onto your vehicle and stand to make 5 to 10X the profit ON YOU. Be aware the tactic of luring you in with their cheap service special. Hard lesson learned.

Family owned and operated.. Excellent service.. They guarantee their work!! As a woman, this quickly became my shop because they are trustworthy and I never felt like they were trying to take advantage of the fact that I dont know anything about cars. Prices and service best around AND they guarantee their work!!
