The students are great and very sweet with me and my two daughters. The instructors are very helpful and supervise the students very well. My last experience was less pleasant, however. One of my daughters was getting her A-line shaped in the back and I had told the student that I just wanted to back brought up and we are trying to grow her bangs and the front out longer. She did a great job aside from one side being slightly longer than the other, which would have been an easy enough fix, but the owner came up and chopped my daughter hair way shorter than I had wanted.... and cut her bangs at a short, awkward length. By the time I saw what she was doing, she had already chopped half of the hair. It wasnt until I said something to her that she told me she thought it was best this way so that "her hair could grow out much more nicely"... The cut doesnt look bad, but it wasnt at all what I asked for and it will take a very long time to grow back to its original length.... also I think the owner, as well as any instructor and student, should ask the customer before doing something so drastic to their hair!

Hundreds of students have passed through this school for the past 20 years and we have great success stories. As far as any illegal practices at LeMelange, if that was correct, we would not have received accreditation through NACCAS, State of California, and Financial Aid Funding. As far as unethical cash overages for days missed, unfortunately in business today, you have to set certain policies in accordance to the contract. We have had to resort to a cash policy due to some checks returned for insufficient funds. When students read and abide by the contract, we have very few issues with small claims over the 20 years of LeMelange. We are here to make our students successful and professional. That is and will always be our goal.

DO NOT ENROLL! Unprofessional, unethical, and illegal practices. The owner lures students in with empty promises, but the moment you come in for your first day, you see her true nastiness. She treats customers and students as if they arent worth her time, but when it comes to money, she wants it all. Charges illegal overages in CASH ONLY for missed days, even with excuses. Read between the lines on her contract, or youre screwed. Files excessive small claims against both customers who want refunds and students when she doesnt see a tuition payment from for one month. A disgrace. Marinello just opened up in Napa. Im sure its wonderful.

I had an excellent short haircut by Luis, with his instructor checking periodically and giving instruction and advice. It was a razor cut and is growing out very nicely. And the price was right! Thank you, Luis.

I have had good experiences with pedis, and color, but not so much luck with haircuts. After today, when I sat in the chair and cried, I wont make the haircut mistake again.
