Anyone rating this gym between one and three stars is probably out of shape, and doesnt allow for modifications to his or her workout routine to accommodate for standard gym-traffic and machines OCCASIONALLY being unavailable. Its PACIFIC GROVE—if you want more equipment, go to the In-Shape on Fremont St. But theres way more traffic at that gym and you often have to work around others routines to get the machine/equipment you want. The staff at this gym has been awesome since I first went here nearly five years ago. My guess is that the people who dont get along with the staff here arent very friendly people. If you have worked in the customer service industry, you know the type of people Im talking about. This gym has everything you need to attain your goals.

Its in Pacific Grove. Thats star 1. Its not as big as other gyms; however, there is sufficient equipment to get a good workout. Thats star 2. The manager (Kelsey) is super, and has been very accommodating to my needs. Thats star 3. The staff is terrific. Great humor, friendly interface and always helpful with whatever needs I have. Thats star 4. The facility is in tip top condition, inside and out, with plenty of parking (newly asphalted), facility kept in spotless order, and a family-owned feeling that larger gyms cant match. For me thats star 5.

Im new to the area and have been looking for a gym to work out at. I was a member of 24hr Fitness and for the most part have been happy with them as far as rates and service goes. Once I got here, this was the only gym I could find but unfortunately the make it very hard to even get information. It seems that there is only one person who can help interested parties and that person is not easy to get ahold of. Also, from what I hear, the rates are not very competative. I will update once I actually get some actual information.

It is the closest gym to where I live but otherwise its rate, equipment, and staff do not compare very favorably with other gyms I have been a member of. It only has the basic equipment and the nothing else. The equipment looks good but is often broken.
