Planning on traveling around the Point Reyes Peninsula? Fuel up before you get there, or risk running out of gas. Weve seen this happen to tourists, leaving them stranded at night with no way to fuel their cars. The Greenbridge Gas Station is the only place to get gas on the peninsula. Your other choices are miles away in Petaluma or East Marin. Tourists dont realize this, spend the the day driving all over the seashore and then come back into town only to realize that the gas station has already closed. Because, you see, the gas station closes at 8 PM, even in the summer, well before sunset. Locals know they need to fuel up before closing, but tourists tend not to have any idea that they wont be able to get gas after a day of sightseeing and discovering this just when youre ready to go looking for a restaurant at night cant be much fun. The bathroom at the gas station also serves as one of the only public facilities in the whole wide region, and Im sorry to report that it is extremely dirty and malodorous. Would it hurt the management to clean up their rest room, particularly as they charge a quarter to use it? Its always distressing to be dependent on this facility when nature calls, knowing youll have to try to hold your nose while using the conveniences. The Greenbridge Gas station is one of those institutions in the Point Reyes regions which separates the locals from the tourists, and fails to offer a proper welcome to the millions of visitors who travel to the region each year. Early closing hours and dirty facilities are not strong selling points here, but perhaps the locals like it that way and arent thrilled with being such a tourist spot for much of the year. So, try to enter Point Reyes, CA with a full tank of gas and a hotel booking for the use of a bathroom and youll be doing what you can to ensure a pleasant visit. Youre kind of on your own here.

Its a gas station, it sells gas, diesel, oil... The basics. The pros are, even when they are closed you can still purchase gas using your debit or credit card. They are also the only gas station around (for miles and miles, and nothing in the park). If you need fuel, go here or risk running out. The con- the price. Since they are the only gas station, you dont have many options. Also, since the supply trucks are only delivering to them out here, they are charged more, and they pass those costs on to us.

I spend a lot of time in Point Reyes and often get gas at Greenbridge. True, this is a rural town with a population of 350 and some businesses close early but you can always get gas with a debit or credit card at the pump. It would only be a problem if paying cash. I have never used the restrooms so no comment there.

Its a gas station....but you can also get a chair massage, so thats not something you see every day at a gas station, right? We didnt have time for the massage but were completely satisfied with the gas.

RUDE! If you advertise open til 7pm, but youre drinking beer and wont lift a finger to plug a tire, maybe you should shut your bay doors, change your hours or find another business.

Good for a quick stop on your way to the coast. Feels like its out of a movie. Its a little camped for the six pumps there crammed into the little space available for their patrons.

My bike has run flawlessly for the last 5000 miles, fill it with super here and it starts cutting out, stalling, sputtering....... Probably super OLD gas.

I like that you can easily pay with credit card at the pumps. Very easy to get gas while driving on Highway 1.
