An Asian Female was yelling at the gentleman in front of me as he was addressing some of his Packages while waiting in line. She told him he needed to get out of line and address his packages at home. She was extremely rude and the gentleman had already told me to go ahead of me. She yelled "Next Customer" and I walked up to her counter. I presented her with a bubble wrapped envelope exactly like the Post Office sells. I had already put on the pre paid label to this envelopeand had no way to print an envelope at that time and started to add up figures on a piece of scratch paper. She told me it was going to be so much more Money as the Bubble wrap envelope which was purchased at the post office when my goods were mailed to me. However, one of them got damaged extensively by the lack of Care of USPS. She asked If I was paying the additional Charges or the sender. I told her that there should be no additional charges as it was being returned in the same envelope it had been sent to me in purchased from the Post Office. She didnt say another word to me about the "additional Charges" until I was walking away from her counter stating the sender would be held accountable for the extra charges and they "would be COD." It was extremely busy at this time, So I didnt want to ask for her supervisor. She is a Federal Government employee who falsely believes she is God. I am tired of our Government and their employees forgetting who they work for. Especially rude and out of control attitudes like this lady that unfortunately the receipt doesnt have a name or ID # so she can be Identified later but I have no doubt this lady has had a ton of complaints. Now the Post office no longer list the individual Post Office Phone Mumber and give you a phone number for an IVR System that no matter how many times you tell them you want a live person, it eventually hangs up on you. My Fellow Americans, please write to your representatives that this is unacceptable for them to not allow the public to contact the people who are supposed to work for them. I dont know about you but I refuse to call an IVR System that you cannot talk to a live person when the IVR System doesnt meet your need. Demand that they return the individual Post Offices Phone Numbers and they actually assign people to answer the phone with the ability to TRANSFER YOU TO THE CORRECT INDIVIDUAL. This is yet another Government run program that is a large failure and needs corrected ASAP. Please write your Representatives along with me to try and get this issue resolved. Thank you, Veteran USAF

The PO boxes are not open outside of operating hours because vagrants were "vandalizing" the premises. Which is just a nice way of saying "pooping on the floor/shooting up/vomiting." The overwhelming majority of the workers here are very nice, and helpful. Key word here is "majority." The ones who arent nice are downright rude, and each time I get one of these people Im astonished that they havent been terminated. One thing that thoroughly irritates me about this office is coming in to pick up a package that couldnt be delivered. They have a doorbell on the wall for this that the desk workers will direct you to if you are in line. The concept seems great! Ring the bell, and someone comes out to get you your package! No waiting in line with everybody else! That novelty wears off quickly after youve stood there for 15 minutes, rang the bell again, and STILL no one comes out. Get in line, and theyll just tell you to ring the bell when its your turn. This doesnt happen every time, but its happened more than 3 times for me. There is also a panhandler outside of this building about 80% of the time I come here. The hard work of all the good workers here make it worth my while to continue using this PO as my primary, but this facility has its issues.

I just dropped a one star rating on the Royal Oaks post office, a location with rude counter staff and useless employees in the sorting/transportation section who cant get letters moving though the system on-time... So... I figured Id see what my old Post Office (This one, called Fort Sutter) had rating wise. To my surprise, it was LOWER than Royal Oaks (one star compared to Royals 3 stars [as of 9/07/2010]). You should take an Internet Rating for what its worth, but Ive been using Fort Sutter to mail letters, packages and most importantly Netflix DVDs for the past seven years and while theyve had brief rough patches (usually in the summer [during vacation season] and major holidays), this is BY FAR, the most friendly, competent, fast and accurate post office in the Greater Sacramento Area. I just moved from 95816 (Fort Sutter) to 95813 (Royal Oaks) and the quality of my new Post Office is HORRIBLE compared to the relative DREAM I had in Midtown. You dont realize what you have until you loose it.

I have been living at my current address for roughly 9 months and have consistently had issues with delivery of packages. After multiple people contacted me asking whether I had ever received birthday presents they sent me as well as a missing amazon package I physically went to the post office and filled out a yellow card requesting that ALL packages that do not fit in the mailbox be held at the post office for pick up. Furthermore, I have began tracking all my packages and asked family and friends to track anything they send me as well. Yet, even that seems not to be working as I am still ending up with "missing" packages that the post office cannot seem to find and when I inquire I am kept on hold for copious amounts of time. This is unacceptable and I shouldnt have to have personal mail sent to my job in order to ensure I receive my mail. I will be filing an official complaint.

A disaster of a post office, that is unfortunately in charge of delivering to much of the core neighborhoods. They simply do not deliver packages, with no excuse or rationale given, but not all the time - just when they feel (or dont feel) like it. Never sure if anything will be delivered, or if it will simply sit in the post office waiting for me to come in and do their work for them. Tracking? Sure... it tells you that they are going to deliver it three days ago, and assures you that your priority/express delivery is important. Then it sits around in the mail office on Alhambra until one of the lackeys decides to either return to sender or ???. They dont leave messages, no notes on door or package cards in mailbox. The mailman assigned to our route changes nearly monthly, and most of them dont really do much other than throw things on the driveway.

Update: I changed because I like my own postman but seriously try to get here before 1pm if you work. ***** ***** ***** The staff are extremely rude and unhelpful. I prefer Broadway to Alhambra, I wish I didnt have to pick up my held mail here, it is always a RIDICULOUS FIASCO. I went to pick up my mail at 4:50 and I didnt get it. Long story short. I paid twenty dollars to have expedited service by Jan 21 and it is now Feb 3 and I still dont have my damn package. I hate this Post Office. I love my postman Adam (a lot-he is awesome!) but I strongly dislike everything else about this post office. If I need retail I go to Broadway. They are much better and much more normal even though they see the exact same amount or more of crazy people. Dont go here.
