So, let me first say this is the nicest gym Ive ever been to. Consequently, everyone in the area comes here. 24 really needs to open more of these in the general area so that it isnt so packed. Its gotten to the point that I got a better workout at this gym pre-renovation. I leave the house at 5:00 to get to the gym at 6:00 and be able to leave for work at 7:00. Today was shoulder day. I could not find a piece of equipment to do shoulders on. Squat rack, nautilus machine, smith machine, or even dumbbells (I hate to use the dumbbells for this as I hate the size of the grips, Ive never seen grips this size in the 25 years Ive been lifting and definitely dont like these). I waited for 15 minutes to try and get on a machine. One squat rack freed up in that time, but I was a couple seconds too late to get to it. One of my favorite parts of the old gym was the military press rack. Rarely did you have to wait for it because, as far as I can tell, there is no crossfit exercise related to it. Sit and watch the squat racks and smith machines for a while and you will be amazed at the exercises you see. Eventually, it became clear that I wasnt going to have enough time to get a decent workout in so I took a shower and left. Unfortunately, the next closest gym for me on my way to work doesnt even have showers, the next one after that would put me right in the middle of traffic when it is time to go to work. Please open more gyms like this in the adjacent area to take some of the traffic. Also, please add some racks, whether it be smith or squat. The ones you have are almost always completely full. Id also like to see a traditional seated hamstring machine and a military press.

The worst experience. My fiancé suggested we try the UTC location since we were planning a move to La Jolla from Hillcrest. Hes currently a 24 fitness member, while I am not. Before I decided to commit, I printed out a 3 day free pass off the website.Thankfully I did! When I arrived at 10pm I was immediately told by the receptionist named MJ, I wouldnt be allowed to work out?! When I inquired why, she simply replied, "oh for security reasons." Ummmm excuse me? She continued to tell me the store manager Tonya doesnt schedule any "new" membership staff after 10pm. I didnt see the connection in terms of security??? Mind you Im dressed in work out clothes, my fiancé is with me, and I cancelled plans with friends to check this place out. When I told her it doesnt say anywhere on the pass, not valid after 10pm, she gave me the deer caught in headlights look??? I then asked for the district managers number, she gave me the club phone number (general line) aka the run around! I honestly feel bad for this girl, its evident shes poorly trained. The responsibility falls on Tonya (Store Manager) for a lack of strategic scheduling. Clearly the UTC location isnt so much 24 hours, more like you are screwed after 10pm. In addition you have to navigate through a complicated construction induced labyrinth to find this place. The location is horrible, customer service nonexistent.. and the club, well since I wasnt allowed in, Ill never know. Better luck to the rest of you.

This is my first pair gym membership and I have to say that Im loving it. I feel like Im part of some elite society because its not cheap and I can finally afford to get massively massive (muscle-wise). I definitely thought it would be bigger, from an outsider looking in, and it gets disgustingly crowded when I go after work. I think my biggest disappointment is the pool. It is shocking that they only have a 3 lane pool here. They also have free wifi which is nice. It can be slow at times because of all the people trying to connect to it and its annoying to have to "sign in" every time to access the wifi. But it is nice streaming music on their wifi rather than using up my data. The steam room and sauna is nice, but its kind of hard to use it without showering and a full change of dry clothes. It gets super busy around 6-8 but I went at 10pm a couple of times and it was really nice as all the benches and machines were open.

They were closed on Thanksgiving. I called them beforehand to ensure they were open and no one answered their phone. I pressed one of their extension numbers for their operating hours and it said they were opened. I doubled checked their hours on their iPhone app and the app also said they were open. I then called them a second time and again, no one answered the phone. So I then spend about 20 minutes getting ready and made the 15 minute drive and 5 minute walk through the mall to have my workout and.....they were closed. This experience tells you what they think about their members. They couldnt spend 15 minutes updating their voicemail and Google maps hours to let people know they would be closed.

I frequent this gym almost 7 days a week and I will no longer recommend this gym to ANYONE. A few weeks ago I was attacked by two other gym goers. They robbed me and physically attacked me. I was so shaken up I went to the staff for help since this occurred in the womens locker room at night. Since this is a 24 hour gym I figured I would be safe at all hours of the night, the staff just shrugged their shoulders and barely offered ANY assistance. Not only was I physically and emotionally traumatized but on top of that I felt completely unprotected by the staff of this facility. Long story short- I just want to warn others. COME TO THE GYM AT YOUR OWN RISK!

You have everything you need here to get in a good workout. I really like the facilities & classes. The class instructors are the best, super professional and on top of their game. HOWEVER, I have been a customer for three years. When we started, the staff were friendly and super attentive. Now, NO ONE SAYS HELLO or goodbye, and I am there at least three times a week. When I walk out past the "managers" office and the guy is behind his desk looking at his phone. Doing nothing. No customer service. If I owned the club, I would be very unhappy with this situation, which is so easy to amend with real leadership and quality service- minded employee training.

Locker rooms/bathrooms are almost always filthy. The entire outdoor area reeks of rat piss. Many of the machines are in disrepair. Expendable items like foam rollers, mats, fitness balls, cable handles, ropes, etc. are rarely replaced. In short, the place is really really poorly managed. And I havent even mentioned the fact that the entire mall is undergoing massive reconstruction. Parking is a bit of a nightmare and getting to the gym involves walking through half of the mall. Too bad this is the only 24 hour gym for miles around. I certainly wouldnt come here if it werent. The second star is for sheer number of machines, weights, etc.

Great gym! Has outdoor workout place, basket ball gym, pool, hot tub, men/women locker and shower, hot room, classes to join. Just a huge playground! They hand out complimentary towels for working out and showers. They have a very nice water bottle filler too which has to be my favorite part! If you can look past the construction (why parking sucks at the moment) then youll love it. I found parking near Macys is a better option for parking during the construction. I find it hilarious that people are complaining about walking more since the whole mall is under construction when youre going to a gym to work out..... Just silly lol.
